Particulars of Grant or Instrument containing Restrictions. Description of Land.

Land Transfer certificate, Vol. xlv., folio 150, issued by the District Land Registrar for the Wellington District, on the 22nd July, 1887, in favour of Marere Tamati te Apatu, Hikamataki, Te Haeata Marere, Te Putu Haumae-wa, Te Kahu Maori, Kake Pa-toromu, Te Ua Hamuera, Te Rangitauira, Te Kohai Hoera, and Tamahau, and containing the following restrictions: “Land is inalienable by sale or mortgage, or by lease beyond twenty-one years.”

All that parcel of land containing 380 acres, situate in the Provincial District of Wellington, being the land known as Hahaia, on the public map of the Mount Adams Survey District, deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, at Wellington.

Land brought within the Jurisdiction of the Native Land Court

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-ninth day of December, 1892.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the ownership of the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto requires to be ascertained, and it is also necessary to determine to whom and in what manner Crown grants, if any, or other evidence of title should be issued in respect of the said lands:

And whereas it is expedient that the said several matters and the determination of the titles to the said lands should be brought within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court, in order that the same may be finally decided and dealt with:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by “The Native Land Court Act, 1886,” and “The Native Land Court Act Amendment Act, 1889” (hereinafter termed the said Acts), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the investigation and determination of the ownership of the lands described in the Schedule hereto, and also the determination and individualisation of titles to the said lands, and the mode of granting the same as aforesaid, and any matter or question which during such investigation may arise in relation to the interests of the Natives in the said lands respectively, shall be and the same are hereby brought within the jurisdiction of the Native Land Court established under the said Acts.

And it is hereby further declared that this order shall take effect as from the twenty-ninth day of December one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Rural Lands in the Taranaki Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of “The Land Act, 1892” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than thirty days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this seventh day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three.
