Date for the Payment of Income-tax under "The Land-tax
and Income-tax Act, 1892."
GLASGOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of December, 1892.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in him under "The Land-tax and Income-tax
Act, 1892," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of
New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and
determine that the respective duties leviable under the said
Act by way of income-tax shall be paid in one sum, on Tues-
day, the thirty-first day of January, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-three; and in further pursuance and
exercise of the power and authority aforesaid, and with the
like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency doth
also determine that the place where the said duties of in-
come-tax shall be paid shall be the office of the Commissioner
of Taxes, at the Government Buildings, Wellington, and that
notice to the foregoing effect shall be given by the said Com-
missioner accordingly.

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
ninth day of December, 1892.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Wiremu Kauika and others, com-
prising a majority in number of the Native owners of
the land described in the second column of the Schedule
hereto, praying that the restrictions on the alienation of
such land contained in the memorial of ownership, bearing
date the seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight
hundred and eighty, described in the first column of the said
Schedule, may be removed: And whereas inquiry has been
duly made by the Native Land Court, and the said Court
has reported that the provisions of the law in that behalf
have been complied with: And whereas it appears expedient
to grant such application:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred
on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and acting with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, doth hereby order and declare that all restrictions
imposed by the said memorial of ownership on the alienation
of the said land are hereby removed.

behalf have been complied with: And whereas it appears
expedient to grant such application:
