An Act to vest in the District of Palmerston North Hospital and Charitable Aid Board certain Hospital Reserves within the Borough of Palmerston North, and Moneys, being the Proceeds of the Sales of certain Hospital Reserves within the said Borough heretofore sold, and Lands vested in the Corporation of the Town of Palmerston North for the Purposes of a Hospital, but which have been sold, subject to the Contracts for Sale; and also to validate certain Payments made out of such Sales.

No. 30. An Act to authorise the Wanganui Harbour Board to make Special Provision for the Disposal of the Balance of their Rural Endowment Lands.

No. 31. An Act to amend “The Westland and Nelson Coal-fields Administration Act, 1877,” in this Act called “the said Act.”

Private Acts.

No. 1. An Act to amend a Deed of Trust made between Ahihipene Kaihau, Kerei Tamarere, and Henare Ngaroma Kaihau, of the one part, and the Public Trustee of the other part, and dated the Thirtieth Day of November, One thousand eight hundred and eighty-five.

PORANGAHAU ROAD BOARD.

THE following is the result of a poll taken at Porangahau, on the 18th day of February, 1893, upon a proposal to raise a loan of £3,000, under “The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886,” for the purpose of erecting a traffic-bridge over the Porangahau River and forming and metalling approaches thereto, and to form and metal the Wainui-Porangahau Road (via Wimbledon) from the Native-land boundary to Speedy's Crossing:—

Number of ratepayers on the roll 60, representing 118 votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal 41, representing 78 votes; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal 1, representing 1 vote; informal 3, representing 3 votes; number of ratepayers who did not exercise their votes 15, representing 36 votes.

A majority in number of the ratepayers, exercising more than one-half of the total number of votes exercisable, having voted in favour of the proposal, I therefore declare the said proposal to be duly carried.
