These lands are all of good quality, and, from their situation on the Bay of Islands and Hokianga Heads Road, are easily accessible. This road has been cleared and bridged, and cuttings made where required; boats also can come up either the Whirinaki or Omanaia Rivers, right into the block, from the Hokianga River. The forest on this land is composed of puriri, taraire, rimu, matai, rata, kahikatea, &c.

Section 19, open and forest land of good quality. Section 49, forest and fern land of good quality, partially improved. Section 66, about 39 acres mixed bush, the remainder being covered with fern and tea-tree, soil good. These lots are within the Waimamaku Settlement. Sections 38 and 50 are covered with mixed bush, the soil is generally good and well watered; Section 50 subject to improvements, £2 10s. Sections 53 and 54, bush lands, consisting of puriri, &c., broken, soil good, stony.
