At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth day of December, 1892.

SIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by
the twenty-fourth section of "The Public Reserves
Act, 1881," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order
and declare that the reserves made for public recreation in
the Land District of Taranaki, known as the Stratford
Recreation-grounds, and described in the Schedule hereto,
shall be and the same are hereby brought under the opera-
tion of and declared to be subject to the provisions of "The
Public Domains Act, 1881;" and such domain shall here-
after be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner
directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being
Sections Nos. 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 67, 68, 69,
70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, and 76, Town of Stratford. Bounded
on the north by Regan Street, 440 links; on the east by
Cordelia Street, 1160 links; on the south by Sections Nos.
34 and 77, 440 links; and on the west by Ariel Street, 1160
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 7 acres, more or less, being
Sections Nos. 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120,
121, 122, 123, 124, 150, 151, 152, 153, 154, 155, 156, 157, 158,
159, 160, 161, 162, and 163, Town of Stratford. Bounded on
the north by Sections Nos. 149 and 110, 440 links; on the
east by Ariel Street, 1624 links; on the south by Fenton
Street, 440 links; and on the west by Orlando Street, 1624
links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 6 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Sections Nos. 607, 608, 609, 610, 611, 612, 613, 614,
615, 616, 617, 618, 619, 639, 640, 641, 642, 643, 644, 645, 646,
647, 648, 649, 650, and 651, Town of Stratford. Bounded on
the north by Romeo Street, 440 links; on the east by Ariel
Street, 1508 links; on the south by Warwick Road, 440 links;
and on the west by Orlando Street, 1508 links: be all the
aforesaid linkages more or less.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 3 acres 3 roods, more or less,
being Sections Nos. 542, 543, 544, 545, 546, 547, 548, 549,
550, 551, 574, 575, 576, 577, and 578, Town of Stratford.
Bounded on the north by Romeo Street, 440 links; on the
east by Cordelia Street, 1160 links; on the south by Section
No. 552, 220 links; and on the west by Sections Nos. 583,
582, 581, 580, and 579, 580 links, by Section No. 579, 220
links, and by Ariel Street, 580 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 6 acres and 13 perches, more
or less, being Sections Nos. 470, 471, 472, 473, 474, 475, 476,
477, 478, 479, 480, 481, 482, 483, 484, 509, 510, 511, 512, 513,
514, 515, 516, 517, and 518, Town of Stratford. Bounded on
the north by Section No. 508, 220 and 116 links, and by
Regan Street, 220 links; on the east by Portia Street, 1740
links; on the south by Fenton Street, 120 links; and on the
west by Hamlet Street, 1725ยท8 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Taranaki,
containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods, more or less,
being Sections Nos. 36, 37, 38, 79, 80, and 81, Town of Strat-
ford. Bounded on the north by Sections Nos. 78 and 35,
440 links; on the east by Cordelia Street, 348 links; on the
south by Fenton Street, 440 links; and on the west by Ariel
Street, 348 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighth
day of December, 1892.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR P. A. BUCKLEY, K.C.M.G., PRE-
SIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the twelfth section of "The Public
Domains Act, 1881," it is, inter alia, enacted that
the Governor, by Order in Council, may from time to time
delegate all or any of the powers by the said Act conferred,
save as is therein mentioned, to any person or persons for
any period, and subject to such stipulations as may be
specified in such order, and that every such delegation may
from time to time in like manner be altered or revoked :
And whereas pursuant to "The Public Reserves Act, 1881,"
by an Order in Council of even date herewith, the lands
described in the Schedule thereto are declared to be brought
under the operation of and to be subject to the provisions of
the said "Public Domains Act, 1881 :"
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
Colony of New Zealand, doth, by this present order, delegate
all the powers conferred by the Act first above mentioned,
except the powers under or conferred by sections five and
twelve thereof, to
The STRATFORD TOWN BOARD,
which shall be known as the Stratford Domain Board
(hereinafter referred to as "the Board"), subject to the
stipulations hereinafter contained, that is to say,--
- The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the third Monday in each month, at three o'clock p.m., at
the Town Board Office, Stratford, or at such other time or
or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board.
The first meeting shall be held on Monday, the sixteenth
day of January, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-three. - Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. - Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. - The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third
Monday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. - If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of
such meeting. - If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chair-
man. - All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth
section of "The Land Act, 1892" (hereinafter termed "the
said Act"), I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the
Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than thirty days from
the date of the first public notification hereof in the New
