Lands taken for Drainage-works in Borough of Kaiapoi.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for the purposes of drainage-works in the Borough of Kaiapoi:

And whereas the Borough Council of Kaiapoi has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by maps, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of drainage-works.

All in the Land District of Canterbury; as the said lands are more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 17353, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Auckland, this sixth day of December, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Lands taken for Construction of Streets in the Borough of Masterton.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of streets in the Borough of Masterton:

And whereas the Borough Council of Masterton has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purpose above mentioned; and, further, that subject hereto the said lands shall vest in the Mayor, Councillors, and citizens of the Borough of Masterton on and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

Altering Boundaries of the Westland and Nelson District Court Districts.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by “The District Courts Act, 1858,” it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor from time to time, as he shall think fit, by Proclamation in the New Zealand Gazette, to constitute throughout the colony, or in any part thereof, districts within which District Courts shall be respectively held, and such districts to abolish, and the boundaries thereof to define or alter:

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the sixth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, a district was defined within which a District Court should be held under the said Act, and it was thereby declared that the said Court should be designated by the name of “The Nelson District Court:”

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, the boundaries of the said district so defined were altered:

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-five, a district was defined within which a District Court should be held under the said Act, and it was thereby declared that the said Court should be designated by the name of “The District Court of Westland:”

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the tenth day of July, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, the boundaries of the said district so defined were altered:

And whereas by a Proclamation bearing date the second day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, the boundaries of the said districts so defined were further altered:
