And whereas it is expedient to further alter the boundaries
of the said Nelson and Westland Districts so defined as
aforesaid:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the first
day of January next, the boundaries of the districts within
which the Nelson District Court and the District Court of
Westland shall respectively be held shall be altered, and
that thenceforth the boundaries thereof shall be the boun-
daries hereinafter described:—

NELSON DISTRICT COURT DISTRICT.

All that area in the Land Districts of Nelson and Marl-
borough bounded towards the west and north generally by
the sea from Kohaihai Bluff, on the West Coast, to Croixelles
Harbour; thence by a line due east to Elaine Bay, Tennyson
Inlet; towards the south-east generally by Tennyson Inlet,
Tawhitinui Reach, Popoure Reach, Hikapu Reach, and
Mahau Sound to Black Point; thence by the summit of the
watershed leading to Elliott Peak; thence by the Counties
of Marlborough and Amuri respectively to Mount Humboldt;
and towards the south-west and again towards the west
generally by the District Court District of Westland, here-
after described.

DISTRICT COURT DISTRICT OF WESTLAND.

All that area in the Land Districts of Nelson and
Westland bounded towards the north by Collingwood
County; towards the south-east by the Counties of Waimea
and Inangahua to the Buller River; thence towards the
north-east by a right line to Mount Humboldt; again
towards the south-east by the County of Amuri to the Huru-
nui Saddle; thence by the summit of the Southern Alps to
Mount Aspiring; towards the south-west by a right line to
the mouth of the Awarua River; and towards the north-west
by the ocean.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Auckland, this
seventh day of December, in the year of our Lord
one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by the two hundred and forty-third
section of “The Land Act, 1892,” and of every other power
and authority enabling him in that behalf, His Excellency
the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
colony, and at the request of the School Commissioners of
the Taranaki Provincial District, in whom the land herein
described is vested, doth hereby declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto, which has been reserved
for educational purposes, shall be sold, subject to the pro-
visions of “The Land Act, 1892.”

Company set apart for Mining Purposes.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS in the contract bearing date the third day
of August, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
eight, made between Her Majesty the Queen and the New
Zealand Midland Railway Company (Limited), it is, among
other things, provided that, subject to the conditions therein
contained, all lands within the limits of the authorised area
defined in the said contract shall be available for selection
by the company, with certain exceptions: And whereas
among such exceptions are included all lands which from
time to time, in the opinion of the Governor, are or may be
required for bonâ fide mining purposes and the several pur-
poses connected therewith or incidental or conducive thereto,
and which lands shall from time to time be set apart and
defined by Proclamation to be issued in that behalf; but
no more than ten thousand acres shall be so set apart or
proclaimed in one block at any one time, and the lands so
set apart and proclaimed from time to time shall not, in the
aggregate, exceed seven hundred and fifty thousand acres:
And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor, the lands
described in the Schedule hereto, are required for bonâ fide
mining purposes and the several purposes connected there-
with, and the said lands are comprised in one block, con-
taining seven thousand acres: And whereas it is expedient
the said land should be set apart and defined by this
Proclamation:

Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
all powers and authorities enabling me in this behalf under
the hereinbefore-mentioned contract or otherwise, do hereby
proclaim and declare that the block of land defined and
described in the Schedule hereto is set apart under the
provisions of the said contract for bonâ fide mining purposes
and the several purposes connected therewith.

SCHEDULE.

Block LXXXVII.: All that area in the Nelson Land Dis-
trict, situated in the Mawheranui Survey District, containing
7,000 acres, more or less. Bounded by a line commencing
at Trig. K (Waiwhero), and proceeding along a right line
drawn through Trig. D (Mawheranui) to the northern bank
of the River Grey; thence northerly along the bank of that
river to a point intersected by the eastern boundary of
Block VI., Mawheranui District; thence along the eastern
boundaries of Blocks VI. and II., Mawheranui, to the north-
eastern corner of the latter block; thence along a right line
to Trig. K (Waiwhero), the point of commencement: ex-
cepting from the above-described area all freehold and lease-
hold sections and reserves.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this ninth day of Decem-
ber, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-two.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this first day
of December, 1892.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR P. A. BUCKLEY, K.C.M.G., PRE-
SIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by Order in Council bearing date the eighth
day of February, one thousand eight hundred and
ninety, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the
thirteenth day of February then instant, regulations were
made under the provisions of “The Stamp Act, 1882,” pro-
viding for the payment of certain duties, fees, fines, and
penalties by means of stamps: And whereas it is expedient
to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set
forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred by “The Stamp Act, 1882,” and of all other powers
and authorities enabling him in this behalf, and acting by
