Land taken for a Road in Buller County.

GLASGOW, Governor.
A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
are required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1882," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit,
the construction of a road in Buller County:
And whereas the Buller County Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and
also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and
the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of
the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of
the construction of the said road.

the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this sixth day of December,

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the
Purposes of a Road in Danevirke Town District.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
forms part of land taken for the purposes of the
Wellington to Napier Railway, and it is considered desirable
to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:
And whereas it has been certified by the New Zealand
Railway Commissioners that such land is not required for
railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the
Danevirke Town District, the local authority of which has
consented to the issue of this Proclamation:
And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion
that the said local authority can conveniently construct and
maintain the said road:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities in me vested by section five
of "The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1889," and of
every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in
that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that
the said road shall be under the control of the Danevirke
Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in
like manner as other public highways are controlled and
maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE.
All that parcel of land situated in Block III., Tahoraite
Survey District, being a portion of railway land in Section
No. 5, containing 1 rood 10 perches, more or less. Bounded
by a line commencing at a point on the south-eastern
boundary of the said railway land, the said point being the
southernmost corner of the piece of land (shown coloured
yellow on plan hereinafter mentioned) authorised to be sold
by an Order in Council dated the 5th May, 1886, as shown
on a plan marked P.W.D. 13847, and coloured pink thereon;
and proceeding thence north-westerly at a bearing of 316ยฐ
42' 20", a distance of 97.7 links; thence south-westerly
parallel to the south-easterly boundary of the said railway
land, a distance of 300 links; thence south-easterly at a
bearing of 136ยฐ 42' 20", a distance of 69 links; thence south-
westerly parallel to the south-eastern boundary of the said
railway land to the north bank of the Tapuata Creek; thence
easterly along the north bank of the Tapuata Creek to the
south-eastern boundary of the said railway land; and thence
north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of the said
railway land to the commencing-point: as the said parcel of
land is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 17622, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon
coloured green.

wit, the construction of roads in Lindhurst Road District:
And whereas the Lindhurst Road Board has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the
amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance
of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public
Works Act, 1882," and of every other power and authority
in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim
and declare that, from and after the date of the publication
hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in
the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for the purposes of the
construction of the said roads.
