SPECIAL ORDER.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is the intention of the Manawatu Road Board, under the powers contained in "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," to raise a loan of £520 under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the construction of the following work in Wards 2 and 3 of the Manawatu Road District:—

To clear, form, and metal the road known as Cameron's Line, Upper Aorangi, Kairanga District, from Rangitikei line northwards to Sections Nos. 1E and 2B, and to run north and south along Sections Nos. 1D and 2B in a westerly direction to the western corner of Section No. 2A, and between Sections Nos. 1D and 8 to the nearest point of Section No. 3F. For the payment of interest at 5 per cent. for twenty-six years on the above loan, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," it is proposed to levy a special rate of 4d. in the pound on the following sections: Nos. 2A, 1D, 8, 1E, 6, 32, 31, part of 3A, containing 95 acres, owned by Mr. P. Desmond, 3F, and 3E. The costs of raising the above loan to be paid out of loan.

Special Order made by the Waimea County Council.—Merging Lower Moutere and Pokororo Road Districts.

THE following special order, made by the Waimea County Council, is published in accordance with "The Counties Act, 1886."

SPECIAL ORDER made by the Waimea County Council, at a special meeting held on the 5th day of November, 1891, and confirmed at a subsequent meeting held on the 7th day of January, 1892:—

That, in pursuance of the powers vested in them by "The Counties Act, 1886," the Waimea County Council hereby make the following special order: That the prayer of the petitions of the ratepayers in the Lower Moutere and Pokororo Road Districts be given effect to, and that the Lower Moutere and Pokororo Road Boards be dissolved, and the said road districts merged in the County of Waimea on and after the 7th day of January, 1892.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly made in accordance with "The Counties Act, 1886."

WEBER ROAD BOARD.

THE following is the result of the poll taken on the 16th day of January, 1892, on a proposal to borrow £6,000 for the formation and metalling of the main road through Weber Road Board District:—

Ratepayers on roll 125, representing 142 votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 76; against, 1; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 85; against, 1.

As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than one-half of the votes that can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the said proposal to be carried.

Revocation of Appointment of Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the authority in me for this purpose vested, I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do, by this order under my hand, revoke and annul the appointment of the under-mentioned warehouse for the reception and security of goods entered to be warehoused

without payment of duty upon the first entry thereof, namely:—

Port of Wellington.

The warehouse known as the

QUEEN'S BOND,

as appointed and described in page 192, New Zealand Gazette, of the 23rd day of May, 1863.

Approving and appointing a Bonding Warehouse.

CUSTOMS.—In exercise of the powers in me for this purpose vested by "The Customs Laws Consolidation Act, 1882," I, the Commissioner of Trade and Customs, do hereby approve and appoint the under-mentioned warehouse to be a warehouse for the reception of goods under bond, namely:—

Port of Wellington.

The southern portion of a brick and concrete building, comprising cellar, ground- and three upper floors, situate at the corner of the Queen's Wharf and Jervois Quay, in the City of Wellington, to be known as the

QUEEN'S BOND.

Port of Lyttelton.

A building known as No. 1 Railway-shed, constructed of iron and roofed with iron, situate nearly opposite the passenger-station, on the Railway Reserve, Lyttelton.
