Special Order made by the Hutt County Council.—Constituting Makara Road District.

THE following special order, made by the Hutt County Council, is published in accordance with “The Counties Act, 1886.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THE Hutt County Council, in exercise of the powers vested in it by “The Road Boards Act, 1882,” doth hereby resolve and declare that, from and after the date of gazetting, the district comprising the area lying between the Wellington Highway District, the Borough of Karori, and the Borough of Melrose on the north and east, and Cook Strait on the west and south, shall constitute a new road district, to be called “The Makara Road District;” and that the Board of such district shall consist of five members; and that such district shall be divided into five subdivisions, to be called respectively No. 1 Ward, No. 2 Ward, No. 3 Ward, No. 4 Ward, and No. 5 Ward; and that there shall be one member of the Board for each such subdivision; and that the boundaries of such subdivision shall be as follows, namely:—

No. 1 Ward: All that area bounded on the north and east by the Wellington Highway District and the Borough of Karori; on the west by Cook Strait; and on the south by Sections Nos. 27, 24, and 87 of Block V., and Sections Nos. 90, 89, 88, 83, 28, and 18 of Block II., Port Nicholson Survey District.

No. 2 Ward: All that area bounded on the north by the No. 1 Ward; on the east by the Borough of Karori; and on the south and west by Sections Nos. 16, 17, 78, 80, and 82 of Block V., and Sections Nos. 66, 28, and 19 of Block II., Port Nicholson Survey District.

No. 3 Ward: All that area bounded on the north by the No. 1 Ward and No. 2 Ward; on the east by Sections Nos. 22, 21, 19, 17, 15, 13, 11, 9, 7, and 5 of Block V., and Sections Nos. 4, 3, 2, 1, 34, 33 of Block IX., Port Nicholson Survey District, and by the Karori Stream; and on the south and east by Cook Strait.

No. 4 Ward: All that area bounded on the north by the No. 2 Ward; on the east by the Borough of Karori and by Section No. 68 of Block IX; on the west by No. 3 Ward; and on the south by Sections Nos. 96, 35, and 48 of Block IX., Port Nicholson Survey District.

No. 5. Ward: All that area bounded on the west by the No. 3 Ward; on the north by No. 4 Ward and the Borough of Karori; on the east by the Borough of Melrose; and on the South by Cook Strait.
