Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

GLASGOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and thirty-sixth section of "The Land Act, 1892" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than thirty days from the date of the first public notification hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Sections N.E. 150 and S.W. 151, half mixed bush and half open undulating land. Section 161, all mixed bush land of fair quality, containing seven green kauri-trees. Section M. 229, all heavy mixed forest land, with a few kauri-trees of little value; the land is broken but of good quality. These sections lie from four to eight miles from Matakoh.

Section 58, about 8 acres mixed bush land, remainder open fern land, fronting the Whangamarino River, Section 59, about two-thirds swamp, balance fern land. Sections 60 and 61, undulating fern land, accessible by road. Section 62, all rush and flax swamp, accessible by Whangamarino River. These lands lie from thirteen to fifteen miles from Mercer.

Section 474A, about 80 acres mixed forest, remainder swamp and broken fern ridges; situated about eight miles from Wairangi Railway-station. Sections 476A to 481, all swamp lands, lying between Whangamarino Railway-station and the river, and are liable to floods.
