and 12, Block XVI., Ongo Survey District, and Sections Nos.
10, 2, and 3, Block X., and by the continuation of that road,
by the summit of the range and the leading spur to the
southernmost corner of Section No. 62, Block II., Apiti
Survey District, by the south-western boundary-line of that
section, by Sections Nos. 70 and 76 of said Block II., by
Section No. 75, Block XIV., Hautapu Survey District, to the
north-west corner of Section No. 73; thence by a right line
to Wairaki Trig. Station; thence by a right line to Kawhatau
No. 3 Trig. Station; thence by a right line to the confluence
of the Kawhatau with the Pourangiki River, and thence by
a due north line to the summit of the northern watershed of
the Kawhatau River, and by that summit to the summit of
the Ruahine Range; towards the south-east by the said
summit to the Manawatu River near the Gorge; thence by a
line across that river, and thence by the nearest spur leading
to the Tararua Range; thence by the summit of the said
Tararua Range to a point due east of the north-eastern
corner of Section No. 2, Block IV., Waiopenu Survey District;
thence towards the south by a right line to the said corner;
thence by the said Section No. 2 and Sections Nos. 10 and
11, Block XV., Mount Robinson Survey District, to the road
fronting the western boundary of the said Section No. 10;
thence by the continuation of that road passing Sections
Nos. 14, 7, 4, 3, 2, and 1 of said Block XV., and Sections
Nos. 3, 2, and 1 of Block X. to the Manawatu River; and
thence again towards the north-west generally by that river
to its confluence with the Orua River.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the first day of November, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of Octo-
ber, in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and ninety-two.

Districts constituted under "The Registration of Births and Deaths Act, 1875."

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in the Governor by "The Registration of Births
and Deaths Act, 1875," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby abolish
the existing registration districts known as the Wanganui
and Palmerston North Districts; and do proclaim and
declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the
said districts is hereby divided anew into three registration
districts, the names whereof shall be the Wanganui, Hunter-
ville, and Palmerston North Districts, and the boundaries
whereof shall be coterminous with the boundaries of the
marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth
in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the
provisions of "The Marriage Act, 1880."

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come
into operation on the first day of November, in the year of
our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance of section ninety-two of "The Public Health
Act, 1876," I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and notify
that Bremen and Hamburg are infected with the disease
called cholera, being an infectious or contagious disease
highly dangerous to the health of the people.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of Octo-
ber, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-two.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the second section of "The Government
Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Act, 1891"
(herein termed "the said Act,"), it is, amongst other things,
enacted that, before certain moneys therein mentioned shall
be expended upon any block of land, it shall be necessary
that the same be proclaimed as set apart for settlement:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the said Act, I, David, Earl of Glasgow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
the block of land described in the Schedule hereto as set
apart for settlement.

SCHEDULE.

LIBERAL BLOCK.

All that area in the Hawke's Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 2,800 acres, more or less, and being
Sections Nos. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, and 14,
Block VIII., Norsewood Survey District.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,
and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government
House, at Wellington, this fifteenth day of Octo-

Bounded towards the north generally by Gilbert Road and by
Crown lands; towards the east by Crown lands and a road-
line; towards the south-east and again towards the east by
Crown lands; towards the south-west by Crown lands, by
the Mangaehia Road, Section 16 (education reserve), Block
XI., and a road-line; and towards the west generally by
Mimi Road, by Section 2 of said Block XI., by Crown
lands, and by Section 1 of Block VII: and containing a net
area for selection of 3,200 acres.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable David, Earl of Glasgow; Knight
Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of
Saint Michael and Saint George; Governor and
Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's
