NORSEWOOD ROAD BOARD.—RESULT OF POLL.
THE following is the result of the poll taken on the 11th day of January, 1892, on a proposal to borrow £350 for the formation and metalling of France’s Road, Norsewood:—
Ratepayers on roll, 4, representing 5 votes; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 3; against, nil; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 4; against, nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers voted in favour of the proposal, and the number so voting are entitled to more than one-half the votes that can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the said proposal to be carried.

MANGANUI ROAD BOARD.
THE following is the result of a poll taken on the 9th January, 1892, on a proposal to raise a loan of £1,200, under the provisions of “The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886,” and “The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,” and amendments, for the purpose of forming, grading, and graveling the Salisbury Road from the Beaconsfield Road:—
Number of ratepayers on the roll, 34; number of votes exercisable, 34; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal, 21; number of ratepayers who voted against the proposal, nil; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 21; number of votes recorded against the proposal, nil.
As a majority in number of the ratepayers have voted in favour of the proposal, and the numbers so voting are entitled to more than one-half in number of the votes which can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the resolution carried.

As a majority in number of the ratepayers have voted in favour of the proposal, and the numbers so voting are entitled to more than one-half in number of the votes which can be exercised by the whole number of ratepayers, I hereby declare the resolution carried.

Alterations and Additions to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Railways.
THE New Zealand Railway Commissioners, in exercise and pursuance of the powers conferred by “The Government Railways Act, 1887,” do hereby make the following alterations in and additions to the scale of fares, rates, and charges on the New Zealand railways, to come into force on and after the 25th day of January, 1892:—
PART IV.—LOCAL RATES.
AUCKLAND SECTION.
Copra, candlenuts, peanuts, rape-seed, linseed, sodas, and other raw material, from Auckland to Westfield, for the manufacture of oil, soap, and candles, will be charged 3s. 6d. per ton, including all charges; minimum charge, 7s.
Oil, soap, candles, soda crystals, refined tallow, and oil-cake, from Westfield to Auckland, will be charged 3s. 6d. per ton; minimum charge, 7s.
