held on the 2nd January, 1892, as required by section 75 of
“ The Road Boards Act, 1882,” and now forward a copy of
the same, as required by section 76 of “ The Road Boards
Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

RESOLVED, That the provisions of “ The Local Bodies’ Loans
Act, 1886,” be adopted generally within the Waipawa
County, and that this special order take effect on and after
the 7th of January, 1892.

I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made by the Waipawa County Council, in conformity with
the provisions of “ The Counties Act, 1886.”

Council, on 25th November, 1891, and the 5th January, 1892,
and that all the provisions of “ The Counties Act, 1886,”
have been complied with.

Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance
with “ The Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1886.”

COUNTY OF RANGITIKEI.—WEST ROAD SPECIAL RATING
DISTRICT.

THE following is the result of a poll taken on Tuesday, the
29th December, 1891, on a proposal to raise a sum of £500
by way of loan, under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1886,” and “ The Government Loans to Local
Bodies Act 1886 Amendment Act, 1889,” for the following
purpose:—

Clearing and forming about 250 chains of the West Road,
Paraekaretu Riding, starting at its junction with the Muri-
motu Road.

Number of ratepayers on roll, 5; number of votes exer-
cisable, 5; number of ratepayers who voted for the proposal,
4; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 4; number of
votes recorded against the proposal, nil.

A majority of the ratepayers, exercising more than one-
half of the total number of votes exercisable, being in favour
of the proposal, I therefore declare it to be carried.

Boards Act, 1882.”

SPECIAL ORDER.

THE following special order has been made by the Moa Road
Board, on the 16th December, 1891, namely:—

That, to secure the repayment of a loan of £800, borrowed
under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,”
for the purpose of improving the Tariki Road, a special
rate of 1¼d. in the pound be made and levied on all rate-
able property within the Tariki Special Rating District,
comprising the following lands: Sections 1, 2, Block V.,
Huiroa Survey District; Sections 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13,
14, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30, 31, 32, 33, 34,
35, 36, 37, 38, 39, 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, 51,
52, 53, 54, 55, 56, 57, 60, Block VI., Huiroa; Sections 4, 5, 6,
7, 8, 9, 10, 11, Block VII., Huiroa. Such rate to be an
annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall be
payable in two half-yearly instalments, on the 1st of January
and 1st of July in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly
made by the Moa Road Board, in accordance with the pro-
visions of “ The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

THE following special order has been made by the Moa Road
Board, on the 16th December, 1891, namely:—

under “ The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886,”
for the purpose of improving the Kaimata Road, a special
rate of ¾d. in the pound be made and levied on all rateable
property within the Kaimata Special Rating District, com-
prising the following lands: Sections 42, 43, 54, Block I.,
Huiroa; Sections 13, 14, Block II., Huiroa; Sections 1, 2, 3,
4, 5, 15, 16, 17, 18, 59, 61, Block VI., Huiroa. This rate to
be an annually-recurring rate for twenty-six years, and shall
be payable in two half-yearly instalments, on the 1st of
January and 1st of July in each year.

I hereby certify that the above special order has been duly
made by the Moa Road Board, in accordance with the pro-
visions of “ The Road Boards Act, 1882.”

COUNTY OF RANGITIKEI.—POREWA SPECIAL RATING
DISTRICT.

THE following is the result of a poll taken on Thursday, the
7th January, 1892, on a proposal to raise a sum of £1,300 by
way of loan under the provisions of “ The Local Bodies’
Loans Act, 1886,” for the following purposes:—

Formation and metalling Wing’s Road, £170; Golding’s
Road, £150; Poppe’s Road, £160; Goile’s Road, £160;
Johnston’s Road, £70; Bryce’s Road, £150; Coombe’s
Road, £40; Crabb’s Road, £50; Henderson’s Road, £100;
Goebel’s Road, £100; and Newman’s Road, £100; for-
mation, Ward’s Road, £40; and Ashby’s Road, £10.

Number of ratepayers on roll, 96; number of votes exer-
cisable, 146; number of ratepayers who voted for the pro-
posal, 60; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 84;
number of votes recorded against the proposal, 1.

A majority of the ratepayers, exercising more than one-
half of the total number of votes exercisable, being in favour
of the proposal, I therefore declare it to be carried.
