delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of
land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers con-
ferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or
conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the under-
mentioned persons, who shall be known as the Carleton
Public Domain Board, namely,β
JOHN O'HALLORAN,
ROBERT BENNETT,
JOHN CROSS,
JOHN DOHRMANN,
JOHN SKURR,
HENRY DAVIDSON, and
JOSEPH INCH
(herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipula-
tions hereinafter contained, that is to say,β
-
The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on
the third Wednesday in each month, at eight o'clock p.m.,
at Carleton, or at such other time or place as may from time
to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be
held on Wednesday, the twentieth day of April, one thou-
sand eight hundred and ninety-two. -
Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or
by any two members of the Board, provided that two days'
notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying
the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and
no other business than that so specified shall be transacted
at such meeting. -
Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any
meeting may be adjourned from time to time. -
The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting,
and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the third
Wednesday in January in every succeeding year thereafter,
elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the
discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting
vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of
his successor. -
If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the
time appointed for holding the same, the members present
shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of
such meeting. -
If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise,
the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the mem-
bers may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chair-
man. -
All questions shall be determined by the majority of
votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury,
containing by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods, more or less,
being Section No. 2808 (in red), formerly part of Reserve No.
361, situate in Block V., Mairaki Survey District. Bounded
northwards by a line parallel to the road north of Section
No. 4643, and 1250 links distant therefrom, 1000 links;
towards the eastward, southward, and westward by Section
No. 15239, 750, 1000, and 750 links: be all the aforesaid
linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the map
deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of March, 1892.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that certain
proceedings required to be taken under the provi-
sions of "The Rating Act, 1882," in connection with the
preparation and revision of the valuation-roll of the County
of Inangahua, cannot now be taken within the times men-
tioned in the said Act:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of
the powers conferred by the said Act, and acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said colony, doth hereby extend the times for taking the
several proceedings mentioned and set forth in the Schedule
hereto, and doth declare that the times for taking such pro-
ceedings respectively shall be those specified in the said
Schedule.
SCHEDULE.

For giving notice of the rateable value to each owner or
occupier: Until the 1st April, 1892. -
For lodging objections to valuations: Until the 14th
April, 1892. -
For hearing and deciding objections: Until the third
Monday in April, 1892, or some other later day to be fixed
by the Resident Magistrate.

Reducing Auctioneers' License-fee, Special District of
Collingwood.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-
second day of March, 1892.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT
IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
"The Auctioneers Act, 1891," and by and with the
advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony
of New Zealand, His Excellency the Administrator of the
Government of the said colony doth hereby declare that the
amount of the auctioneers' license-fee to be paid in the
Special District of Collingwood, constituted under the said
Act, shall be five pounds; and also that the mode of apply-
ing for and issuing auctioneers' licenses in the said district
shall be that prescribed in regulations issued under the
said Act on the fifth day of December, one thousand eight
hundred and ninety-one, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette of the tenth day of December in the same year.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
vested in him by "The Dentists Acts Amendment Act,
1891," His Excellency the Administrator of the Government
of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth
hereby appoint a Board of Examiners under the said Act
for each of the Cities of Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch,
and Dunedin, and doth declare that the persons named in
the Schedule hereto immediately underneath the name of
the city mentioned in such Schedule shall be the Board of
Examiners of such city for the purposes in the said Act
mentioned.
