Vesting Control of the Tuakau Ferry in Raglan County Council, and apportioning Cost of Maintenance.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation made on the twenty-third day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, under the provisions of “The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1887,” it was thereby directed that the ferry described therein and in the Schedule hereto should, from and after the eleventh day of August, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Raglan County Council; and it was fixed and determined in the said Proclamation that the Raglan County Council should itself provide out of its own funds the entire cost of managing and maintaining the said ferry:
And whereas it is expedient to vary the terms of the said Proclamation in the manner hereinafter mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by the said Act, and of every other power and authority in any-wise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and direct that the ferry described in the Schedule hereto, and known as the Tuakau Ferry, shall, from and after the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, be under the exclusive care, control, and management of the Raglan County Council; and I do also hereby fix and determine that the cost of managing and maintaining such ferry, and the machinery and appliances used therewith, is to be provided and paid by the local authorities hereinafter mentioned, in the following proportions, namely, Raglan County Council, sixty-six per centum; Pukekohe East Road Board, twenty-two per centum; Pukekohe West Road Board, twelve per centum. And I do also hereby direct that the contributions hereby required to be made as aforesaid by the Raglan County Council, the Pukekohe East Road Board, and the Pukekohe West Road Board towards the cost of managing and maintaining the said ferry, and the machinery and appliances used therewith, shall be paid from time to time, in the proportions hereinbefore prescribed, by the Raglan County Council out of the County Fund of the Raglan County; and by the said respective Road Boards out of the funds of the corporations they respectively represent, within a period of ten days after a demand in writing made by or on behalf of the said County Council, stating the amount so required to be paid and the purpose for which it is so required, shall have been left at the office of the Road Board liable to make such payment, and the payments so to be made shall be made from time to time to the Treasurer of the Raglan County Council, for and on behalf of such Council.
SCHEDULE.
THE ferry across the Waikato River known as the Tuakau Ferry, situated on the line of road leading from Tuakau Township, in Manukau County, to the Tuakau Special Settlement, in Raglan County, Provincial District of Auckland; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked S.G. 12807, deposited in the General Survey Office, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon marked in red.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by the sixth section of “The Licensing Act, 1881,” it is enacted that the Governor shall, as soon as conveniently may be after the commencement of the said Act, by Proclamation in the Gazette, from time to time define districts to be licensing districts under the said Act, and from time to time may alter and redefine the boundaries of the same: And whereas it is expedient to alter and redefine the boundaries of the District of Hampden:
Now, therefore, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me by the said Act, alter and redefine the boundaries of the said district, which shall be those described in the Schedule hereto, such alteration to take effect upon the first day of April, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.

INANGAHUA COUNTY.
Hampden.—All that area known as the Hampden Riding of the County of Inangahua, as described in the New Zealand Gazette No. 63, of the 28th November, 1876.

A PROCLAMATION.
BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby set aside the pastoral lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto under Part VII. of the said Act (subject to existing rights), and also do hereby subdivide the same as grazing-runs in the areas respectively in the said Schedule mentioned.
