Declaring State Forests in the Land District of Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by “The New Zealand State Forests Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby set apart the forest lands described in the Schedule hereto, forming part of the Crown lands in New Zealand, as and for State forests within the provisions of the said Act.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 16 of the Parish of Karangahape, and containing by admeasurement 99 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 112 of the Parish of Karangahape and a public road, 4405 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 17 of the Parish of Karangahape aforesaid, 2175 links; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 15 and 112 of the said parish, 4275 links; and towards the north-west by said Section No. 112, 2050 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Sections Nos. 18 and 19 of the Parish of Karangahape, and containing by admeasurement 177 acres 2 roods 20 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 112 of the Parish of Karangahape and by a public road 2600 links, and by Section No. 15 1580 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 10 of the same parish, 4155 links; towards the south-west by a public road, 110, 190, 100, 180, 335, 130, 190, 480, 60, 60, and 2780 links; and towards the north-west by Section No. 112 aforesaid, 4310 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; save and except a road, 100 links wide, which intersects the area hereinbefore described.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being the eastern portion of Section No. 64, Sections Nos. 65 and 111, all of the Parish of Karangahape, and containing by admeasurement 620 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by a public road, 340, 520, 720, 580, 260, 810, 354, 186, 310, 280, 735, 220, 700, 375, and 230 links; towards the north-east by Section No. 66 of the Parish of Karangahape 4300 links, and by a public road 920, 125, 570, 145, and 650 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 113 of the Parish of Karangahape aforesaid, 5000 links; towards the south-west generally by Section No. 100 of the same parish 3250 and 1260 links, and by Section No. 107 of the said parish 4219 links; and towards the west generally by Section No. 105 of the said parish 1241, 4000, and 1700 links, and by other portion of Section No. 64 aforesaid 3050 links to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being the southern portion of Section No. 68 of the Parish of Karangahape, and containing by admeasurement 80 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 112 of the Parish of Karangahape, 1450 links; towards the south-east by Section No. 67 of the same parish, 4000 links; towards the south-west by a public road 760 links, and by Section No. 69 of the said parish 3325 links; and towards the north-west by the northern portion of Section No. 68 aforesaid, 3000 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being the south-eastern portion of Section No. 75 of the Parish of Karangahape, and containing by admeasurement 122 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by a public road, 530 links; towards the south-east generally by Section No. 76 of the Parish of Karangahape 160, 223, 951, 383, 286, 181, 363, and 697 links, and by Section No. 112 of the same parish 4060 links; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 72 and 73 of the Parish of Karangahape aforesaid, 2432 links; and towards the north-west by the north-west portion of Section No. 75 aforesaid, 5910 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, being Section No. 110 of the Parish of Karangahape, and containing by admeasurement 63 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Section No. 112 of the Parish of Karangahape 1890 links, and by the Huia Stream; towards the south-west by Sections Nos. 109 and 112 of the Parish of Karangahape aforesaid, 4762 links; and towards the north-west by said Section No. 112, 1850 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Given under the hand of His Excellency Sir James Prendergast, Knight, Chief Justice, the Administrator of the Government of Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of March, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two.
