A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the sixth section of "The Land Act, 1885," I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, a certain Proclamation made and issued under the said Act on the fifth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, so far as it relates to the sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby revoked.
And in pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of "The Land Act, 1885," I do hereby proclaim and declare that the said sections of land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for special settlement under the said Act.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this thirtieth day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken for a public work authorised to be constructed by the Government, to wit, the construction of a road:
And whereas the said land is held or occupied by Native owners:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and the amendments thereof, and of all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the Government work known as a road shall and may be constructed on or through the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area containing by admeasurement 25 acres 1 rood 30 perches, more or less, in the Land District of Auckland, situate in the Opuawhanga Survey District, being a road, 100 links wide, traversing the Wairahi Block; the northern side of which commences at peg 115, on the south-western boundary-line of Section No. 4, Block V., and proceeds in a westerly direction to the western boundary-line of the said block: as the same is delineated on the plans marked S.G. 12979, 12979A, and 12979B, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Land District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Regulations under "The Sheep Act, 1890."-No. 342.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this sixteenth day of March, 1892.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE ADMINISTRATOR OF THE GOVERNMENT IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him by the thirty-ninth section of "The Sheep Act, 1890," His Excellency the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby suspend the operation of sections thirty-four to thirty-eight, both inclusive, within all the districts defined under the said Act (subject, however, as hereinafter provided as to the Districts of Nelson and Marlborough) in respect to sheep bred in the colony and brought by sea from within the colony to be landed in such districts, and in respect to any vessel bringing such sheep; and in further pursuance and exercise of the power and authority aforesaid, and by and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby make the following regulations prescribing the conditions upon which sheep brought coastwise from any part of the Districts of Nelson or Marlborough, or either of them, may be landed within any other part of the colony, that is to say:-
- No sheep bred in the colony and taken or carried by sea in any vessel, coastwise, from the Districts of Nelson or Marlborough, or either of them, to any port or place in any other part of the colony, shall be landed at any such port or place unless the owner of such sheep, his agent, servant, or other person having the charge of such sheep, shall have first obtained from the Inspector at the port or place of shipment authority in writing to land such sheep at the port or place of destination.
- The authority to be given by the Inspector shall be in writing, and shall be in such form and contain such particulars as he thinks necessary.
- If the Inspector at the port or place of shipment thinks fit in any case, he may require the person, or one of the persons, for whom or on whose account the sheep are required to be taken or carried as aforesaid to make a declaration before a Justice of the Peace, or such Inspector, in the form or to the effect specified in Schedule D to the said Act.
- The foregoing regulations shall apply to the master or owner of any vessel bringing sheep coastwise from the said Districts of Nelson or Marlborough or either of them; and it shall be the duty of every such master or owner to see that these regulations have been complied with before he ships any sheep to be so taken or carried as aforesaid.
- If any person shall knowingly commit a breach of any of the foregoing regulations he shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding Β£100.
And also in pursuance and exercise of the powers aforesaid, and by and with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, His Excellency the Administrator as aforesaid doth hereby declare that this Order in Council and the regulations hereby made shall come into force and take effect on and after the seventeenth day of March next, and shall continue in force until the thirty-first day of December next; and all previous Orders in Council in force under the said thirty-ninth section shall be and be deemed to be revoked on the day when this present Order in Council comes into force.

Shooting Season for Imported and Native Game, License-fee, &c., Taranaki District.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by "The Animals Protection Act, 1880," and the Acts amending the same, I, James Prendergast, the Administrator of the Government of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that cock-pheasants and Californian quail may be taken or killed within the Taranaki District, consisting of the Counties of Taranaki, Clifton, and Stratford, excepting therefrom the reserve known as Mount Egmont Forest Reserve, being the area included with the circumference of a circle having a radius of six miles from the summit of the said Mount Egmont, from the first day of May, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, to the thirty-first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, both inclusive (subject nevertheless to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned). And I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell game and
