Special Districts under “The Auctioneers Act, 1891.”
ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority contained in the eighth section of “The Auctioneers Act, 1891,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby declare that the several parts of the said colony which are described in the second column of the Schedule hereto (being parts of the colony which are sparsely populated) shall be special districts for the purposes of the said Act, and shall be known by the names set forth in the first column of the said Schedule; and it is hereby declared that the several sums of money respectively named in the third column of the said Schedule shall be the amount of auctioneer’s license-fee to be paid in the district opposite to the name whereof each of such amounts stands; and that the persons described in the fourth column of the said Schedule shall be the Licensing Officers for the districts opposite to the name whereof their descriptions stand respectively.

Vesting Reserves in the Ashburton County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1891.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto were reserved for plantations: And whereas it is expedient that the said lands should be vested in the Ashburton County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserves mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Ashburton County, in trust, for plantations.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 57 acres 1 rood 7 perches, more or less, being Section No. 2937 (in red), situate in Block VI., Hinds Survey District, being a strip of land, 500 links wide, situated north of the Railway Reserve, along the north-westward and south-westward boundaries of Hinds Township Reservation; save and excepting such roads as are delineated on the plan deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury, containing by admeasurement 46 acres, more or less, being Section No. 2938 (in red), situate in Block VI., Hinds Survey District, being a strip of land, 500 links wide, south of the Railway Reserve, along the south-eastward and south-westward boundaries of Hinds Township Reservation; save and excepting thereout Reserve No. 1446, and three pieces of roads which are included in the above-described boundaries: as the same is delineated on the map deposited in the District Survey Office, Christchurch.

Extension of Time for holding Annual Meeting of Ashburton County Council.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it has been made to appear that a quorum was not present at the time appointed by “The Counties Act, 1886,” for holding the annual meeting of the Council of the County of Ashburton, and such meeting was thereupon postponed until another day: And whereas the said postponed meeting lapsed for want of a quorum, and was not adjourned, and it is expedient to extend the time for holding the said annual meeting:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers vested in him by the said “Counties Act, 1886,” and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby extend the time appointed for holding the annual meeting of the Council of the County of Ashburton from noon of Wednesday, the twenty-fifth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, to noon of Wednesday, the sixteenth day of December, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.

Waitotara Recreation-ground brought under “The Public Domains Act, 1881.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this third day of December, 1891.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
BY virtue of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twenty-fourth section of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, do hereby order and declare that the reserve made for public recreation in the Land District of Wellington, and known as the Waitotara Recreation-ground, and described in the Schedule hereto, shall be and the same is hereby brought under the operation of and declared to be subject to the provisions of “The Public Domains Act, 1881;” and such domain shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with in manner directed by the said Act.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that piece or parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 3 roods, more or less, being Sections Nos. 154, 155, and 156, Waitotara Township. Bounded on the north-east by Section No. 297, Block XII., Wairoa District, 200 links; on the south-east by Trent Street, 375 links; on the south-west by Section No. 153, 200 links; and on the north-west by Section No. 297, Block XII., Wairoa District, 375 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
