THE following notice, received from the Chairman of the
Rangitikei County Council, is published in accordance
with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

MAUNGARAUPI SPECIAL RATING DISTRICT.
THE following is the result of a poll taken on the 14th
November, 1891, on a proposal to raise a sum of £700 by
way of loan, under the provisions of "The Local Bodies'
Loans Act, 1886," for the following purpose:—
Formation and metalling Bryce's Line, £150; formation
and metalling Warring Line, £100; formation and metalling
Porewa Line, £180; formation of Ngaruru Line, £110; forma-
tion of Maungara Line, £30; formation of Simpson's Line,
£50; Porewa Bridge, £80.
Number of ratepayers on roll, 73; number of votes exer-
cisable, 156; number of ratepayers who voted for the pro-
posal, 48; number of votes recorded for the proposal, 100;
number of votes recorded against the proposal, nil.
A majority of the ratepayers, exercising more than one-
half of the total number of votes exercisable, being in favour
of the proposal, I therefore declare it to be carried.

THE following notice, received from the Chairman of
the Patea County Council, is published in accordance
with "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886."

RESULT OF POLL FOR PROPOSED LOAN.
THE following is the result of the poll taken in the Patea
County upon a proposal to raise a loan of £2,000 for re-erec-
tion of Waitotara Bridge:—
Number of ratepayers on roll 592, representing number of
votes 892; number of ratepayers who voted in favour of the
proposal 123, representing in number of votes 263; number
of ratepayers who voted against the proposal 2, representing
in number of votes 2; papers informal (number of voters)
1, representing in number of votes 1.
As a minority occurred in number of voters, and also in
number of votes, I declare the proposal to be lost.
