Board of Examiners appointed under “The Coal-mines Act, 1891.”

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the twentieth section of “The Coal-mines Act, 1891,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

The DIRECTOR of the GEOLOGICAL SURVEY of NEW ZEALAND,
The SURVEYOR-GENERAL,
The INSPECTING ENGINEER of MINES,
HENRY ALEXANDER McGREGOR, Esq., of Wellington, an Inspector of Machinery, together with
JAMES BISHOP, Esq., of Brunnerton, THOMAS BROWN, Esq., of Denniston, and WILLIAM SHORE, Esq., of Kaitangata, all in the Colony of New Zealand, being holders of mine managers’ certificates, who have not less than ten years’ experience in coal-mining,
to be a Board of Examiners to conduct examinations for the purposes of the said Act.

And, in further exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me as aforesaid, I do hereby name the said Director of the Geological Survey of New Zealand as Chairman of the said Board.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-third day of October, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one.
