Land reserved as Endowments for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS under the provisions of “The Land Act, 1885,” the reserves enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto were temporarily reserved as endowments for education, and were also temporarily and permanently reserved as such endowments upon the respective dates specified in the second and third columns of the said Schedule, and severally set opposite the respective descriptions of the said reserves:
And whereas notices of such reservations were laid upon the table of each House of the General Assembly: And whereas the two Houses have not jointly agreed to alter, vary, or modify the area of any of the reserves, or to nullify any of such reservations, by a resolution disapproving thereof, in terms of the two hundred and thirtieth section of “The Land Act, 1885:”
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance of the power and authority vested in me by “The Land Act, 1885,” do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands enumerated in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall be reserved as endowments for primary education, as herein specified respectively.

Land temporarily reserved in the Land Districts of Auckland, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland.
ONSLow, Governor.
WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Nelson, Canterbury, Otago, and Southland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
ALL that parcel of land in the Town of Russell, containing by admeasurement 2 roods, more or less, being Lots Nos. 7, 8, 9, and 17, Section No. 5. Bounded towards the north-west generally by Lot No. 6; towards the north-east by York Street; towards the south-east by Lot No. 10; and towards the south-west by The Strand. For a site for public buildings.
All that parcel of land in the Town of Russell, containing by admeasurement 35 perches, more or less, being Lot No. 9, Section No. 9. Bounded towards the north by a right-of-way; towards the east by Lot No. 8; towards the south by Lot No. 10; and towards the west by The Strand. For a site for public buildings.
All that parcel of land in the Town of Russell, containing by admeasurement 1 rood, more or less, being Lot No. 2A, Section No. 5. Bounded towards the north-east by Wellington Street; towards the east by York Street; towards the south-west by Lot No. 5; and towards the north-west by Lot No. 2. For a site for public buildings.
All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 12 acres, more or less, being Lot No. 14A, Parish of Puhoi. Bounded towards the north-west by the Puhoi River; and towards the south-east and south by a public road. For a cemetery.
NELSON.
All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement 11 acres 2 roods 24 perches, more or less, situate in the Nelson Land District, being parts of Sections Nos. 1 and 4 on the plan of Suburban South. Bounded on the eastward by Britannia Heights, 3200 and 2450 links; and on the westward by other parts of said Sections Nos. 1 and 4, Suburban South, 1200, 882, 1362, 1507, and 815 links. For a recreation-ground.
CANTERBURY.
All that parcel of land containing 180 acres 2 roods, more or less, being Section No. 2943 (in red), situate in Blocks III. and VII., Westerfield Survey District. Bounded towards the north-west by the road forming the south-east boundary of Section No. 2242 (in red); towards the north-east by the road along the south branch of the Ashburton River to its confluence with the stream which forms the north-east boundaries of Sections Nos. 26476 and 35970; thence by said stream to the north-east corner of Section No. 35970; thence towards the south-east by the north-west boundary of said Section No. 35970; thence towards the south-west by the road forming the north-west boundary of Section No. 35988: as the same is more particularly delineated on the map
