Setting apart Land in the Otago Land District for Leasing as Small Grazing-runs under “The Land Act, 1885.”

A PROCLAMATION.

BY virtue and in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the one hundred and ninety-seventh section of “The Land Act, 1885,” and of every other power and authority enabling me in that behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be subject to the provisions of sections one hundred and ninety-eight to two hundred and nineteen of Part VII. of “The Land Act, 1885,” relating to small grazing-runs.

Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in Manchester Road District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Foxton to New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the New Zealand Railway Commissioners that such land is not required for railway purposes: And whereas such land is situated in the Manchester Road District, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section five of “The Public Works Acts Amendment Act, 1889,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Manchester Road Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Kairanga Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 rood 8 perches, more or less, being part of Railway Reserve on the New Plymouth-Foxton line of Railway. Bounded towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary-line of Railway Reserve, 500 links, from a point opposite 50 miles 64 chains on the railway-mileage, as shown on plan numbered P.W.D. 16159, deposited in the Public Works Office, at Wellington, to a point opposite 50 miles 69 chains on the said mileage; towards the south-east by a line at right angles to the said north-eastern boundary-line, 60 links; towards the south-west by a line parallel to the north-eastern boundary-line aforesaid, 500 links; and towards the north-west by a right line to the point of commencement: as the same is more particularly delineated on plan marked S.G. 13317, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured green.

ALL that parcel of land, generally 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Oroua Survey District, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing in the middle of Carruthers Street, at the eastern boundary-line of the Town District of Halcombe; and extending in a generally south-easterly direction along the south-western side of Railway Reserve to the Borough of Feilding: as the same is delineated on plans marked S.G. 12401 (5 to 12 inclusive), deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured purple.

Also all that parcel of land, 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Oroua Survey District, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing at the southern boundary-line of the Borough of Feilding; and extending in a south-easterly direction along the south-western side of Railway Reserve to the Oroua River: as the same is delineated on plans marked S.G. 12401(¹³), (¹⁴), and thereon coloured purple.

Also all that parcel of land, 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Oroua Survey District, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing at
