A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken under “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of a road in Akaroa and Wainui Road District:
And whereas the Akaroa and Wainui Road Board has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by “The Public Works Act, 1882,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the construction of the said road.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the one hundred and sixty-second section of “The Land Act, 1885,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the sections of land described in the Schedule hereto shall be and the same are hereby set apart and declared open for application as village homesteads for perpetual leasing, upon the terms and conditions fixed by an Order in Council issued on the twenty-seventh day of Feb-
ruary, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, and made under the one hundred and sixty-third section of the said Act.
