Also all that parcel of land, generally 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Oroua Survey District, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing in the middle of Vogel Street, at the eastern boundary-line of Halcombe Town District; and extending in a south-easterly direction along the eastern and north-eastern side of Railway Reserve to a point opposite 105 miles 5 chains on the railway-mileage (measured from Wellington): as the same is delineated on plans marked S.G. 12401^(5),^(6),^(7), and thereon coloured purple.

Also all that parcel of land, generally 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Rangitoto Survey District, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing in the middle of Sherwill Street, at the western boundary-line of Halcombe Town District; and extending in a north-westerly direction along the south-western and southern side of Railway Reserve to a point opposite 109 miles 68 chains on the railway-mileage (measured from Wellington): as the same is delineated on plans marked S.G. 12401^(2),^(3),^(4), and thereon coloured purple.

Allocating Land taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Road in the Borough of Feilding.

ONSLow, Governor.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto form part of the land reserved and taken for the purposes of the Foxton to New Plymouth Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such lands to the purposes of a road:

And whereas it has been certified by the New Zealand Railway Commissioners that such lands are not required for railway purposes: And whereas such lands are situated in the Borough of Feilding, the local authority of which has consented to the issue of this Proclamation:

And whereas His Excellency the Governor is of opinion that the said local authority can conveniently construct and maintain the said road:

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by section 5 of “The Public Works Act Amendment Act, 1889,” and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a road, and that the said road shall be under the control of the Borough Council of Feilding, and shall be maintained in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land, generally 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Borough of Feilding, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing at the northern boundary-line of the Borough of Fielding; and

extending in a south-easterly direction along the western and south-western side of Railway Reserve to the southern side of South Street, at the southern boundary-line of the said Borough of Feilding: as the same is delineated on plans marked S.G. 12401^(12),^(13), and thereon coloured purple.

Also all that parcel of land 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Borough of Feilding, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing at the northern side of Gladstone Street, and extending in a south-easterly direction along the north-eastern side of Railway Reserve to the southern side of South Street, at the southern boundary-line of the Borough of Feilding: as the same is delineated on plans marked S.G. 12401^(13), and thereon coloured purple.

Also all that parcel of land, generally 60 links in width, in the Provincial District of Wellington, situate in the Borough of Feilding, being portion of Railway Reserve; commencing at the north side of Kimbolton Road, in the Borough of Feilding, and extending in a northerly direction along the north-eastern and eastern side of Railway Reserve to the northern boundary-line of the said Borough of Feilding: as the same is delineated on plan marked S.G. 12401^(13), and thereon coloured purple.
