persons in whom the same is so vested at the date afore-
said. And it is hereby declared that the vesting orders
hereby made are so made under and subject to the provisions
of the seventy-ninth section of the said Act, and also subject
to all other provisions of the said Act respecting cemeteries
or burial-grounds closed under its provisions.
SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the City of Wellington, containing by
admeasurement 7 acres 1 rood 17 perches, more or less, being
the burial-ground for the burial of the dead according to the
rites of the United Church of England and Ireland, granted
by the Crown on the 25th March, 1851, to the Right Reverend
George Augustus, Lord Bishop of New Zealand; excepting
the area of 1 rood 4 perches taken by Proclamation under
“The Public Works Act, 1882,” on the 19th October, 1885,
for the purpose of a street. -
Also all those areas in the City of Wellington, containing
by admeasurement respectively 4 acres 3 roods 12 perches
and 3 acres 3 roods 16 perches (total 8 acres 2 roods 28
perches), more or less, being the cemetery for the burial of
the dead as described in the Schedule to “An Act to provide
for the Management of the Public Cemetery of the Town of
Wellington,” passed by the Superintendent and Provincial
Council of the Province of Wellington in 1854, Session I.,
No. 9; excepting areas of 5·2 perches and 2·1 perches
respectively, conveyed to the Hon. W. B. D. Mantell under
“The Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886,” in exchange
for an area of 1·5 perches, part of Section No. 502; and
also excepting the areas of 2 roods 16·2 perches and 2 roods
7·9 perches taken by Proclamation under “The Public
Works Act, 1882,” on the 19th October, 1885, for the purpose
of a street. -
Also all that area in the City of Wellington, containing
by admeasurement 1·5 perches, more or less, being portion of
Section No. 502, conveyed by the Hon. W. B. D. Mantell to
the Trustees of the Wellington Public Cemetery under “The
Special Powers and Contracts Act, 1886.” -
Also all that area in the City of Wellington, containing
by admeasurement 2 roods 37 perches, more or less, being the
burial-ground for the burial of the dead according to the
rites of the Jewish faith, granted by the Crown on the 9th
November, 1852, to Abraham Hort the elder and Nathaniel
William Levin; excepting the area of 1 rood 27·5 perches
taken by Proclamation under “The Public Works Act,
1882,” on the 19th October, 1885, for the purpose of a street. -
Also all that area in the City of Wellington, containing
by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 20 perches, more or less,
being the burial-ground for the burial of members of the
Roman Catholic religion, granted by the Crown on the 27th
July, 1853, to the Right Reverend Philip Joseph Viard and
his successors, Roman Catholic Bishops of Wellington.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth
day of July, 1891.
Present:
His Excellency the Governor in Council.
WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
was reserved for a gravel-pit: And whereas it is
expedient that the said land should be vested in the Akaroa
County Council:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said colony, and in exercise of the
powers and authorities vested in him by the fourth section
of “The Public Reserves Act, 1881,” doth hereby declare
that, from and after the day of the date hereof, the reserve
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall become vested in
the Chairman, Councillors, and inhabitants of the Akaroa
County, in trust, for a gravel-pit.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Canterbury,
containing by admeasurement 20 acres, more or less, being
Section No. 2913 (in red), situate in Blocks IV. and VIII.,
Ellesmere Survey District. Bounded towards the north-
east by Reserve No. 250; towards the south-east by the Little
River Railway Reserve; towards the south-west by Crown
land; and towards the north-west by the road south-east of
Sections Nos. 35516 and 35059: as the same is delineated
on the map deposited in the District Survey Office, Christ-
church.

Sale or Selection.
ONSLow, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the
Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Sections 1 to 8, undulating fair land, covered generally with
high tea-tree; the remainder are open and high tea-tree
lands, with patches of mixed bush on each lot. These lands
lie between the Wairoa and Arapaoa Rivers, and can only be
said to be really accessible by water.

All these sections consist of about one-third mixed bush,
the remainder being tea-tree, with a little rough grass
scattered over the lots; the soil generally is rather inferior.
Access is gained by water, the lands being adjacent to the
Wairoa River.
