light volcanic soil, covered with stones. The only access to
these lots is through Crown lands. Section 18, principally
stony land, covered in scraggy bush scorched by fire; 19,
about 40 acres good soil, covered with mixed bush, remainder
more or less swampy. The only access to these sections is

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of
the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of
the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

to be a Trustee, in the place of James Turnbull, deceased,
to provide for the maintenance and care of the Huirangi
Public Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons
appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the
Governor on the thirtieth day of August, one thousand eight
hundred and seventy-nine.
