ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of July, 1891.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Agricultural and Pastoral Societies Act, 1877,” His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby incorporate the members of the Woodville Central Agricultural and Pastoral Society, and such persons as shall hereafter be admitted members of the said society agreeably to the rules of the said society and the provisions of the said Act, into a body corporate under the said Act, under the style and title of “The Woodville Central Agricultural and Pastoral Society.”

Napier Subdivision of Napier Sheep District exempted from Wool-branding Sheep, under Section 67, “Sheep Act, 1890.”—Notice No. 325.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of July, 1891.

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS a petition has been presented to His Excellency the Governor, signed by a majority of the owners of sheep in the Napier Subdivision of the Napier Sheep District (representing the ownership of not less than two-thirds of the total number of sheep in the said subdivision), requesting that such subdivision may be exempted from the operation of section sixty-seven of “The Sheep Act, 1890:” And whereas it appears expedient to grant the prayer of the said petition:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by “The Sheep Act, 1890” (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Napier Subdivision of the Napier Sheep District, as defined under the said Act, shall be exempt from the operation of section sixty-seven of the said Act; and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council shall come into force upon the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.

“Westland and Nelson Coal Fields Administration Act, 1877.”—Authorising Construction of a Tramway.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-first day of July, 1891.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS by the twenty-first section of “The Westland and Nelson Coal Fields Administration Act, 1877,” it is enacted that the Governor may, by Order in Council, authorise any lessee under a lease granted for coal-mining purposes, and his or their servants and workmen, full and free liberty of making, and using when so made, any railways, tramways, bridges, inclines, staiths, or other means of transit over the lands described in the First, Second, and Third Schedules to the said Act, and whether the same shall be demised by any lease for coal-mining purposes or not, on the conditions mentioned in sections twenty-two and twenty-three of the said Act:

And whereas the Westport Coal Company (Limited) is a lessee of the Crown under a lease granted for coal-mining purposes, and has complied with the conditions set forth in sections twenty-two and twenty-three of the said Act, and is desirous of constructing a tramway, and sidings, bridges, viaducts, incline, and staiths, over the lands mentioned in the Schedule below, which said lands form part of the lands described in the Third Schedule to the said Act:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in exercise and pursuance of the above-recited power, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, doth hereby authorise the Westport Coal Company (Limited), and its assigns, and its or their servants and workmen, full and free liberty of making, and using when so made, a tramway, and sidings, bridges, viaducts, inclines, and staiths, over the lands described in the Schedule hereto; such tramway, sidings, bridges, viaducts, inclines, and staiths to be constructed in accordance with the approved plans and specifications of same, deposited in the office of the Minister for Public Works, at Wellington: Provided, however, that the authority hereby given shall be concurrent with the company’s coal-mining lease from the Queen, dated the twenty-eighth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three, and being for a term of ninety-nine years from the first day of January, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-two; and such authority shall determine, without further notice, at the expiration of the said ninety-nine years, or at such prior time as the said lease may expire or be determined: Provided, further, that the right is hereby reserved to the Government to construct a road, if necessary, over any portion of the lands mentioned in the Schedule below that is not occupied by the tramway, and sidings, bridges, viaducts, inclines, and staiths aforesaid; and also that the Government may permit the County Council or the Road Board to construct a road over such lands upon the like condition.

SCHEDULE.

The several parcels of land mentioned in list hereunder:—

Closing Cemeteries and Burial-grounds in City of Wellington.

ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this twenty-eighth day of July, 1891.

Present:

His Excellency the Governor in Council.

WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in the cemeteries and burial-grounds in the Borough of the City of Wellington, respectively described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a sufficient cemetery situate in the District of Karori, and which is not within the limits of any borough or town district, has been provided by the Council of the Borough of the City of Wellington, and has been by it prepared for the interment of the dead as required by “The Cemeteries Act, 1882:”

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by “The Cemeteries Act, 1882” (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-two, burials within the cemeteries and burial-grounds in the Borough of the City of Wellington, respectively described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be discontinued. And, in further pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the said Act, His Excellency the Governor as aforesaid, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth order and declare that, from and after the date of this Order in Council, the several cemeteries and burial-grounds described in the said Schedule, and therein numbered one, two, three, and four, shall respectively be vested in the Mayor, Councillors, and citizens of the Borough of the City of Wellington; and also that the burial-ground described in the said Schedule, and therein numbered five, shall, from and after the date of this Order in Council, be and remain vested in the person or
