IN THE MATTER OF THE WAIMEA SILVER-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

NOTICE is hereby given that an Extraordinary General Meeting of this company will be held on Friday, the 26th day of June instant, at the hour of half-past 7 o’clock in the afternoon, at Warner’s Commercial Hotel, Cathedral Square, Christchurch, for the purpose of submitting to the company, and, if it is thought proper, passing, the following extraordinary resolution:—

“That it has been proved to the satisfaction of the company that the company cannot, by reason of its liabilities, continue its business, and that it is advisable to wind up the same, and that accordingly the company be wound up voluntarily under the provisions of the Companies Acts. That Joseph Frederick Ward, of Christchurch, Accountant, be, and he is hereby appointed, Liquidator for the purpose of winding up the affairs of the company.”

THE WAIPUNA GOLD-MINING COMPANY (LIMITED).

THE Waipuna Gold-mining Company (Limited) have, at an extraordinary general meeting of shareholders, held on Tuesday, the 19th May, passed the following resolution: “That the company be wound up voluntarily, under the provisions of ‘The Companies Act, 1882,’ and that Mr. A. A. M. McKellar be, and is hereby appointed, Liquidator for the purpose of such winding-up;” which resolution was confirmed at a subsequent extraordinary general meeting, held on Tuesday, the 2nd June, 1891.

In the matter of ROBERT CLAPHAM BARSTOW, late of Epsom, near Auckland, Gentleman, deceased.

NOTICE is hereby given that, pursuant to an order made herein by His Honour Mr. Justice Conolly on the 8th day of June instant, all creditors and other persons having claims against the estate of the above-named Robert Clapham Barstow, deceased, are required to send particulars of the claims to Charles Francis Hulme, of Tauranga, Gentleman (care of Messrs. Hesketh and Richmond, Solicitors, Wyndham Street, Auckland), Executors of the will of the said Robert Clapham Barstow, deceased, on or before the 31st day of July next; and notice is hereby further given that after the said 31st day of July next the said Charles Francis Hulme will proceed to distribute the assets of the said deceased among the persons entitled thereto, having regard only to the claims of which he then has notice, and will not be liable for the said assets, or any thereof, so distributed to any person whose claim he shall not have had notice at the time of distribution of the said assets, or any part thereof, as the case may be.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND, OTAGO AND SOUTHLAND DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments, and of Kincaid, McQueen, and Company (Limited).

BY an order made by His Honour Mr. Justice Williams in the above matter, dated the 12th day of June, 1891, on the petition of the above-named company, it was ordered that the above-named company be wound up by this Court under the provisions of “The Companies Act, 1882,” and its amendments; and it was further ordered that the costs of the said petitioning company and the costs of the Provisional Official Liquidator appointed herein be taxed by the Registrar of this Court, and paid out of the assets of the said company; and it was also ordered that Arthur John Burns, the Provisional Official Liquidator, be continued as such Provisional Official Liquidator until the appointment of an Official Liquidator.

THE ISLAND BAY PARK COMPANY (LIMITED), IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given, in pursuance of section 202 of “The Companies Act, 1882,” that a General Meeting of the members of the above-named company will be held on the 21st day of August, 1891, at 8 o’clock in the afternoon, at the company’s office, in 10, Lambton Quay, for the purpose of having an account laid before them showing the manner in which the winding-up has been conducted and the property of the company disposed of, and of hearing any explanation that may be given by the Liquidators; and also of determining, by extraordinary resolution, the manner in which the books, accounts, and documents of the company and of the liquidation thereof shall be disposed of.

PUBLIC NOTICE.

IN pursuance of the provisions of “The Public Works Act, 1882,” notice is hereby given that it is the intention of the Council of the County of Selwyn to take the lands described in the Schedule hereto for the purpose of a water-race, and that plans showing the said lands, together with the names of the owners and occupiers thereof, have been deposited for public inspection at the offices of the East Malvern Road Board, Sheffield, and the Courtenay Road Board, Kirwee, in the said county. And notice is hereby given to all persons affected to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections which they may have to the taking of such lands, and to send such writing within forty days from the 15th day of June, 1891, being the date of the first publication of this notice, to the Chairman of the said Council, at Christchurch.
