SPECIAL ORDER made on the 15th April, 1891, by the Waito-
tara County Council, altering the boundaries of the Brunswick
and Tokomaru Ridings:—
That the southern boundary of the Tokomaru Riding
commence at a point where the southern boundary of the
Tauwhare Block strikes the Wanganui River; thence along
the said southern boundary-line of the Tauwhare Block to
the Kai-iwi Stream; thence along the Kai-iwi Stream to a
point where it enters the Waitotara Riding: and that the
southern portion of the Tokomaru Riding between the above
boundary and the present boundary be included in the
Brunswick Riding. To take effect from date of publication
in the New Zealand Gazette.
I hereby certify that the above special order was duly
made by the Waitotara County Council, on the 18th March,
1891, and confirmed on the 15th April, 1891.

RESULT of poll taken at Mr. John Knight's house, No. 2
Ward, Manawatu Road Board District, on the 4th April,
1891, upon a proposal to raise a loan of £550, under "The
Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," to construct and finish the
roads known as Newberry Line and adjoining line, and 75
chains on the railway-line:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll 14, representing 21
votes; 9 ratepayers, representing 13 votes, voted in favour of,
and 5 ratepayers, representing 8 votes, against, the proposal;
and I therefore declare the same to be carried.

RESULT of poll taken at Mr. John Knight's house, No. 2
Ward, Manawatu Road Board District, on the 4th April,

road known as Cameron's Road, and continuation thereof:—
Number of ratepayers on special roll 10, representing 15
votes; 7 ratepayers, representing 10 votes, voted in favour
of, and 3 ratepayers, representing 5 votes, against, the pro-
posal; and I therefore declare the same to be carried.

poll taken on the 18th February, 1891, on the proposal to
borrow £2,500 for the purpose of constructing irrigation-
works in the Lower Pareora Irrigation District, is as
follows:—
Number of ratepayers in district, 20; number of rate-
payers who voted, 11; total number of votes exercisable, 33;
number of ratepayers who voted for proposal, 11; number of
ratepayers who voted against proposal, nil; votes for pro-
posal, 21; votes against proposal, nil; number of rate-
payers who did not vote, 9; informal votes, nil.
I therefore declare the above proposal to be carried.
