IT is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has
been pleased, in pursuance of the provisions of section
41 of "The Harbours Act, 1878," and of all other powers
enabling him in that behalf, to appoint

The Hon. JOHN DAVIES ORMOND, M.L.C., and
SAMUEL CARNELL

to be Members of the Napier Harbour Board, the County
Councils of Waipawa and Patangata having, on the second
Monday in the month of February last, neglected to elect
two members of the Board.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon me by "The
Electric Lines Act, 1884" (hereinafter termed "the said
Act"), and by the regulations made thereunder on the 30th
June, 1885, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No.
41, 1885, the following officer is hereby appointed a Trans-
mitting and Receiving Officer, for the purpose of dealing with
all notices by telegraph sent under the said Act or regula-
tions, and of signing such certificates in relation to the
service of any such notices as are required or authorised to
be signed or given under the said Act or the regulations
aforesaid:—
