ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of February, 1891.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS it appears to the Governor that burials in the burial-grounds in the Borough of Devonport, described in the Schedule hereto, should be wholly discontinued: And whereas a sufficient cemetery (not within the limits of any borough or town district) has been provided for the interment of the dead, as required by “The Cemeteries Act, 1882.”

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of New Zealand, and in pursuance of the authorities vested in him by the said “Cemeteries Act, 1882,” doth hereby order and direct that, from and after the first day of September, one thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, burials within the burial-grounds in the Borough of Devonport, described in the aforesaid Schedule, shall be wholly discontinued.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Land District of Auckland, situate in the Borough of Devonport, containing by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 2 perches, more or less, being Subdivisions E, M, and W of Lot 26A, Parish of Takapuna. Bounded towards the north-east by Lot 16 of the said Parish of Takapuna; towards the south-east by Mount Victoria Recreation Reserve; towards the south by Lot 26 of the said Parish of Takapuna; towards the west by Victoria Road; and towards the north-west by Albert Street.

Modified Tables for Immediate Annuities under “The Government Life Insurance Act, 1886,” and “The Government Insurance and Annuities Act, 1874.”

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government House, at Wellington, this third day of February, 1891.

Present :

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by an Order in Council bearing date the twenty-fifth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand did, in exercise of the powers vested in him by “The Government Life Insurance Act, 1886,” and “The Government Insurance and Annuities Act, 1874” (hereinafter termed the said Acts”), approve of the tables set forth in the Schedule to the said Order in Council as the tables to be used under the said Acts, and the regulations made thereunder, for determining the value of annuities, and for payment of sums of money at death or otherwise: And whereas it is expedient to revoke that portion of the tables relating to immediate annuities so made as aforesaid, and to substitute others in lieu thereof :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by the said Acts, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby revoke that portion of the tables relating to immediate annuities contained in the Schedule to the said Order in Council of the twenty-fifth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-eight, as aforesaid, and, in lieu thereof, doth hereby approve the several tables contained in the Schedule hereto; and doth direct that, for the purposes of the said Acts and the regulations made thereunder, such last-mentioned tables shall be used for determining the value of annuities; and doth further declare that this Order in Council shall come into force as from the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
