WALLACE COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE UNDER “THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT, 1882,” AND
AMENDMENTS.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wallace County Coun-
cil propose to take part of Section 25, Block IX.,
Jacob’s River Hundred, for a public road, namely, all that
piece of land containing 1 acre 1 rood 19·7 perches, more or
less, commencing at a point 580·4 links north and 530·3
links east of the most southerly corner of said Section 25,
and extending in a northerly direction a distance of 868·6
links, thence in an easterly direction a distance of 1074·4
links; and that the said Council have caused a plan to be
prepared showing the land required to be taken for the same,
together with the names of the owners and occupier of such
land as far as they can be ascertained, and that the said
plan is deposited at the office of the said Council, Riverton,
and open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable
hours; and all persons affected are hereby called upon to set
forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the execu-
tion of such work or the taking of such land, and to send
such writing, within forty days from the first publication of
this notice, to the Wallace County Council, at their office at
Riverton.

NOTICE is hereby given that, under “The Foreign Com-
panies Act, 1884,” the North Queensland Insurance
Company (Limited), being a company incorporated within
the Colony of New South Wales, intend to carry on the
business of insurers of marine risks in Napier, in the Colony
of New Zealand; and that the offices where such business
is intended to be carried on, and where notices may be sent,
communications made, and legal proceedings served, are
situated in Shakespeare Road, in the said Town of Napier.
