perches, more or less ; and portion traversing Akuaku Block,
containing 17 acres 3 roods 21 perches, more or less. Com-
mencing at peg 1 at high-water mark, about 12½ chains north
of Waipiro Stream, being the middle of the road ; thence
running north-westerly and northerly generally for a total
distance of 37340 links to a point on the northern boundary
of the Akuaku Block 1219 links east of peg 12 on that
boundary: as the same is more particularly delineated on
Plans Nos. 103A, 109, and 110, deposited in the Survey
Office, Gisborne.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 4th August and 30th April,
1887, and 27th September, 1884.

All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's
Bay, containing by admeasurement 3 roods and 3 perches,
more or less, situated in the Waipiro Survey District, and
being a road, 100 links wide, and traversing the Whareponga
Block. Commencing at the Toetoengahui Stream, about
1½ chains from the junction of that stream with the Whare-
ponga River, and being the northern side of the road; thence
running north-westerly generally for a total distance of
737·7 links or thereabouts to its junction with the Waipiro-
Waipu Road: as the same is more particularly delineated
on Plan No. 110, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

Date of Governor's warrant, 27th September, 1884.

All those parcels of land in the Land District of Hawke's
Bay, containing by admeasurement 108 acres 1 rood 11
perches, more or less, situated in the Waipiro and Waipu
Survey Districts, and being a road, 100 links wide, traversing
the Whareponga, Ngamoe Nos. 1 and 4, Matarau Nos. 1 and 2,
Te Rahui, Waitekaha, Tokoroa, Reporua, and Ahikouka Nos.
2 and 1 Blocks respectively, viz., portion traversing Whare-
ponga Block, containing 5 acres 3 roods 10 perches, more or
less; portion traversing Ngamoe No. 1 Block, containing
12 acres and 28 perches, more or less; portion traversing
Ngamoe No. 4 Block, containing 7 acres and 7 perches, more
or less; portion traversing Matarau No. 2 Block, containing
4 acres and 24 perches; portion traversing Matarau No. 1
Block, containing 6 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more or less;
portion traversing Te Rahui Block, containing 2 acres and
13 perches, more or less; portion traversing Waitekaha
Block, containing 12 acres and 2 roods, more or less; portion
traversing Tokoroa Block, containing 5 acres 2 roods 29
perches, more or less; portion traversing Reporua Block,
containing 13 acres and 8 perches, more or less; portion
traversing Ahikouka No. 2 Block, containing 30 acres and
38 perches, more or less; and portion traversing Ahikouka
No. 1 Block, containing 9 acres 1 rood 10 perches, more or
less. Commencing at a point where the Waipiro-Waipu
Road crosses the Whareponga River, about 3¼ chains north
of peg 466; thence running in a northerly and north-westerly
direction to the Gisborne-Waipu Inland Road at peg 466,
429986·5 links north and 207939·7 links east of Trig. A,
Poverty Bay: as the same is more particularly delineated
on Road Plans Nos. 110, 111, 111A, 111B, 112, 113, 113A, and
113C, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, 30th
April, 1886, and 20th August, 1888.

All those parcels of land in the Land District of Hawke's
Bay, containing by admeasurement 35 acres and 15 perches,
more or less, situated in the Waipu Survey District, and
being a road, 100 links wide and upwards, traversing the
Ahikouka No. 2 and Wairoa Blocks respectively, viz., portion
traversing Ahikouka No. 2 Block, containing 27 acres and
15 perches, more or less; and portion traversing Wairoa
Block, containing 8 acres, more or less. Commencing at a
point 354·4 links west of peg 391, in centre of road above
referred to, and being middle of road; thence running
northerly and north-westerly generally for a total distance
of 20850 links or thereabouts to its junction with the Gis-
borne-Waipu Inland Road at peg 35, 438538·7 links north
and 217910·4 links east of Trig. A, Poverty Bay: as the
same is more particularly delineated on Road Plans Nos.
113A and 113B, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

Dates of Governor's warrants, 27th September, 1884, and
27th April, 1886.

Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron
Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and

Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony
of New Zealand and its Dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal
of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this eighteenth
day of January, in the year of our Lord one thou-

to Woodville : Palmerston-Gorge Section.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken for a further portion of the
line of Railway from Palmerston North, by way of the
Manawatu Gorge, to Woodville, namely, the Palmerston-
Gorge Section :

And whereas all conditions precedent required by law to
be observed and performed prior to the taking of such land
in the manner hereby provided have been observed and
performed :

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
powers and authorities conferred by section one hundred and
thirty of "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other
power and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf,
do hereby proclaim and declare that the land mentioned in
the Schedule hereto is taken for the further portion of the
said line of railway hereinbefore specified.
