Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over Land
in the Taranaki Provincial District.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl
of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the land
specified under warrant of the date given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land in the Provincial District of Tara-
naki, containing by admeasurement 25 acres 2 roods 20
perches, 15 acres and 6 perches, and 1 acre 1 rood 22 perches
respectively, more or less, situate in the Ngaiire, Huiroa,
and Ngatimaru Survey Districts, and being road-lines, of a
width of 100 links or thereabouts, traversing a portion of the
Toko A Block :—

Road containing 25 acres 2 roods 20 perches: Commencing
at a point 11695 links from the north-west corner of the said
Toko A Block, being the middle of the road above referred
to; and thence continuing south-westerly generally for a
distance of 25629 links or thereabouts to its junction with
the confiscation-line.

Road containing 15 acres and 6 perches: Commencing at a
peg No. XX. on traverse of aforesaid road; and thence con-
tinuing south-westerly generally for a distance of 15043
links or thereabouts to its junction with a subdivision-line,
being 7612·5 links from the confiscation-line.

Road containing 1 acre 1 rood 22 perches: Commencing at
a peg No. X. in the traverse of the first-mentioned road; and
thence continuing north-westerly generally for a distance of
1390 links or thereabouts to the confiscation-line.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
are delineated on Maps Nos. 194A and 194B, deposited in the
Survey Office, New Plymouth.

Date of Governor’s warrant, 4th March, 1889.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right
Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of
Onslow in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley,
of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron
Onslow, of Onslow in the County of Salop, and
of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron
Cranley, of Imbercourt; Baronet; Knight Grand
Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint
Michael and Saint George; Governor and Com-
mander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty’s
Colony of New Zealand and its Dependencies,

and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under
the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin, this
eighteenth day of January, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of Roads over
Land in the Hawke’s Bay Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

I N pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of
Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim that the roads described in the Schedule
hereto have been duly taken and laid off through the land
specified under warrants of the dates given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL those parcels of land in the Land District of Hawke’s
Bay, containing by admeasurement 48 acres 3 roods 1 perch,
more or less, situated in the Tokomaru and Mata Survey
Districts, and being a road, generally 1 chain in width,
traversing the Mangahawini, Poroikamoana, Makahi, and
Waipiro No. 2 Blocks respectively, viz., portion travers-
ing the Mangahawini Block, containing 29 acres and 34
perches, more or less; portion traversing the Poroikamoana
Block, containing 5 acres 2 roods 1 perch, more or less;
portion traversing the Makahi Block, containing 1 acre 1
rood 6 perches, more or less; and portion traversing Waipiro
No. 2 Block, containing 12 acres 3 roods, more or less.
Commencing at peg 111 on the Coast Road, in Tokomaru
Bay, being the middle of the above road; thence running
north-westerly and northerly generally for a total distance
of 41960 links or thereabouts to its junction with the Wai-
piro-Waiapu Road at peg 58A, 306186·7 links north and
179671·8 links east of Trig. A, Poverty Bay: as the said road
is more particularly delineated on Plans Nos. 106, 107, and
108, deposited in the Survey Office, Gisborne.

Dates of Governor’s warrants, 30th April and 4th August,
1887, and 27th September, 1884.

All those parcels of land in the Land District of Hawke’s
Bay, containing by admeasurement 37 acres 1 rood 14
perches, more or less, situated in the Mata and Waipiro
Survey Districts, and being a road, 100 links wide, tra-
versing the Waipiro No. 1, Ohineakai, and Akuaku Blocks
respectively, viz., portion traversing Waipiro No. 1 Block,
containing 12 acres 3 roods 38 perches, more or less; portion
