NOTICE is hereby given that the Reliance Lodge, Register No. 153(1), held at Auckland, branch of the Loyal United Friends’ Benefit Society, is dissolved by instrument registered at this office this 17th day of December, 1890, unless, within three months from the date of the Gazette in which this advertisement appears, proceedings be commenced by a member or other person interested in or having any claim on the funds of the branch to set aside such dissolution, and the same is set aside accordingly.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Registrar of Friendly Societies has, pursuant to section 10 of “The Friendly Societies Act, 1882,” by writing under his hand dated this 17th day of December, 1890, cancelled the registry of the Loyal United Friends’ Benefit Society, Registry No. 153, held at Auckland, on the ground that the said society has ceased to exist.

COMMISSIONER OF THE SUPREME COURT APPOINTED.

NOTICE.—GEORGE FREDERICK WILLIAMSON, of 163, King Street, Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales, a practising Solicitor, has been appointed, by His Honour Mr. Justice Denniston, a Commissioner of the Supreme Court of New Zealand in New South Wales, under “The Commissioners of the Supreme Court Act, 1875,” for the purpose of taking all such oaths, affidavits, and affirmations as in the said Act are mentioned.

IN PARLIAMENT.

In the matter of a Bill intituled “The Wellington Chew’s Lane Encroachment Act, 1891.”

NOTICE is hereby given that application will be made to Parliament, at its next session, for leave to introduce a Bill to enable the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the City of Wellington to sell to Jacob Joseph, of the City of Wellington, Esquire, a piece of land having a frontage of 1½ links to Victoria Street, and shown on the plan deposited in the Land Registry Office at Wellington, No. 331, as forming part of the extension of the lane known as Chew’s Lane, and to extinguish such rights as may have arisen over the said piece of land in consequence of the deposit of such plan.

Copies of the above Bill will be deposited in the Examiner’s office on or before the 15th day of January, 1891.

I, PERCY WILLIAM MENZIES, Licentiate of the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh, Licentiate of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, and Licentiate of the Faculty of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, and Licentiate in Midwifery of Edinburgh, and a duly-registered Medical Practitioner of Great Britain, residing at Napier, do now give notice of my intention of applying, on the 9th day of January, 1891, to have my name placed on the register of Medical Practitioners in the Colony of New Zealand; and I have this day deposited with the Registrar at Napier the evidence of my qualification, in the terms of “The Medical Practitioners Act, 1869.”

“THE NATIVE LAND COURT ACTS AMENDMENT ACT, 1889.”

NOTICE is hereby given that I, JOHN WILSON, of Cambridge, Gentleman, claiming to have purchased or acquired the parcel of land situate at Tauranga, and known as Oteora No. 1 Block, have, on the 15th day of September, 1890, left at the office, in the Government Buildings, at the City of Wellington, of the Registrar of the Native Land Court for the District of Wellington, the place appointed in that behalf by the Commissioners appointed under section 20 of the above-mentioned Act, an application, pursuant to the said Act and to the rules made by the said Commissioners thereunder, that the said Commissioners shall inquire into all the circumstances attending the said alleged alienation or acquisition of the said interests in the said lands.

And notice is hereby further given that certified copies of such application, and of every instrument in writing, order of the Native Land Court, and other document upon which I rely in support of the said claim, have been deposited by me with the Clerk of the Resident Magistrate’s Court at Tauranga, where the same are open for public inspection without payment of any fee.

And notice is hereby further given that every person desiring to be heard in opposition to my claim is required to file and serve notice of such opposition, and of the grounds thereof, fourteen days at least before the day which shall be appointed for hearing my said claim, and in the form and manner prescribed by the rules made by the said Commissioners.

And notice is hereby further given that my address for service is at 5, Wyndham Street, in the Town of Auckland.
