Rural Lands in the Auckland Land District open for Sale
or Selection.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the third section of “The Land
Act Amendment Act, 1887” (hereinafter termed “the said
Act”), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the
Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the
Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is
provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated
in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection,
after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days
from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the
manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act,
and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

Description of Land: All these sections are bush lands of
fair quality, but the forest has been a good deal worked and
burnt with fire. Along the Kaipara River the flat land is
good, but liable to be flooded in the winter. The sections
are subdivision of the Waipapa Block Museum Endowment,
and are situated immediately opposite the Woodhill Rail-
way-station.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

Sale or Selection.

Description of Land: All forest, broken; fairly good pas-
toral land.

SECOND-CLASS LAND.

Description of Land: All forest, consisting of rimu, tawa,
and pukatea on north side, and tawa and tawero on south
side of Makara; fairly good slopes on south side of stream,
but steep on north side; all well watered.

These sections are situate about twelve miles from Ingla-
wood, along the Junction and Wiri Roads, which are formed
for wheeled traffic to within one mile of Section 17.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

Altering Times of Meeting of the Land Board of the Land
District of Westland.

ONSLOW, Governor.

WHEREAS by the first subsection of section forty-
three of “The Land Act, 1885,” it is provided that
the Land Boards of the respective land districts shall sit at
the land office in the principal town of the land district, at
certain times to be determined by the Board and approved
of by the Governor, and published in the New Zealand
Gazette :

And whereas by a warrant under the hand of His Excel-
lency the Governor, dated the eighth day of July, one thou-
sand eight hundred and eighty-seven, and published in the
New Zealand Gazette of the fourteenth day of July, one
thousand eight hundred and eighty-seven, it was appointed
that the sittings of the Land Board of Westland should be
held on the third Wednesday in every month, commencing
on Wednesday, the twentieth day of July, one thousand
eight hundred and eighty-seven, at two o’clock p.m. :

And whereas the Land Board of Westland did, on the
nineteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred
and ninety, pass a resolution recommending that the time of
sitting should be altered, and it is expedient to give effect to
the said recommendation :

Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise of the
power and authority vested in me in that behalf, do hereby
fix and determine that the ordinary meetings of the Land
Board of the Land District of Westland shall be held on
the second Tuesday in every month, at eleven o’clock a.m.,
commencing on Tuesday, the thirteenth day of January, one
thousand eight hundred and ninety-one, at eleven o’clock
a.m., instead of as heretofore appointed.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.

Trustee appointed for the Portobello Cemetery.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries
Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor
of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

JAMES HUTCHISON SEATON

to be a Trustee, in the place of Joseph Young, resigned, to
provide for the maintenance and care of the Portobello
Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed
by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor
on the twenty-fifth day of June, one thousand eight hun-
dred and eighty-four.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor,
this sixteenth day of December, one thousand
eight hundred and ninety.
