I HEREBY give notice that, at the poll taken this day (Friday), the 24th October, 1890, under the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1886," for the purpose of deciding a proposal to borrow £4,000, under "The Government Loans to Local Bodies Act, 1886," for the formation of roads and streets, together with esplanade, at New Brighton, part of New Brighton Ward, the votes recorded were as follows:-
For the proposal, 173 votes; against the proposal, nil; total number of ratepayers, 237; total number of votes, 242.
As the majority of ratepayers, exercising a majority of votes, are in favour of the said proposal, I hereby declare the proposal to be carried.
