Fixing Shooting Season for Deer, License Fee, &c., Nelson District.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Animals Protection Act, 1880,” and “The Animals Protection Act Amendment Act, 1881,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby notify that deer (bucks or stags only) may be taken or killed within the Nelson District, consisting of the Counties of Waimea, Buller, and Collingwood, from the fifteenth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, to the thirty-first day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety, both inclusive (subject, nevertheless, to the restrictions in the said Acts mentioned); and I do further notify that licenses to take or kill such game within the said district shall be issued on payment of the sum of twenty shillings each, and that licenses to sell such game shall be issued on payment of five pounds each; and the Chief Postmaster at Nelson and the Postmaster at Westport are hereby appointed to issue the said licenses.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Fixing Sittings of District Court at Reefton.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that a sitting of the District Court of Westland shall be held as follows:—

In the Courthouse at Reefton, for the despatch of civil and criminal business, on Thursday, the sixth day of March next.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Trustee appointed for the Mauku Cemetery.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the sixth section of “The Cemeteries Act, 1882,” I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

JAMES FINLAY

to be a Trustee, in the place of James Matthews, who has left the district, to provide for the maintenance and care of the Mauku Cemetery, in conjunction with the other persons appointed by warrant under the hand of His Excellency the Governor on the thirteenth day of November, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-three.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this third day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.
