Rural Lands in the Taranaki Land District open for Sale or Selection.
ONSLOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural lands enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

WHEREAS by the two hundred and twenty-seventh section of "The Land Act, 1885," it is enacted that the Governor may from time to time, either by general or particular description, and whether the same has been surveyed or not, reserve from sale temporarily, notwithstanding that the same may be then held under pastoral license, any Crown lands which in his opinion are required for any of the purposes in the said section mentioned:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by the said Act, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land in the Land Districts of Auckland, Hawke's Bay, Wellington, Nelson, Canterbury, Southland, and Westland, described in the Schedule hereunder written, for the purposes in the said Schedule specified.
SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Auckland, being part of Lot No. 1 of Section No. 1 of the Town of Tauranga, and containing by admeasurement 5 acres 3 roods 24 perches, more or less. Bounded towards the east by Tauranga Harbour; towards the south-east by Lot No. 298 of Section No. 1 of the Town of Tauranga, 580 links; and towards the north-west generally by Cliff Road, 251, 637, 240, and 447 links, to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less. For a cemetery.
HAWKE'S BAY.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 5 acres, more or less, being Section No. 144, Block VI., Norsewood Survey District. Bounded on the north by Section No. 23, 504.4 links; on the east by Section No. 23, 1406.5 links; on the south by the Napier-Woodville Road, 1108.9 links; and on the west by Section No. 23, 610 links: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Napier. For a gravel-pit.
WELLINGTON.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 121 acres, more or less, being Section No. 112, Block XIV., Mangahao Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by Section No. 111; on the east by the Mangatainoka River Road; on the south-west and south-east by Native land and the Mangatainoka River Road; and on the north-west by proposed railway: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington. For primary education.
All that parcel of land in the Land District of Wellington, containing by admeasurement 9 acres 3 roods 15 perches, more or less, being Section No. 42, Block XI., Mangahao Survey District. Bounded on the north-east by a public road; on the south-east by a public road; on the south-west by Section No. 44 and the Mangatainoka River Overflow Reserve; and on the north-west by the Mangatainoka River Overflow Reserve: as the same is delineated on the plan deposited in the office of the Chief Surveyor, Wellington.
