HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in him by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order that the road in the Norsewood Road District, described in the Schedule below, shall, on and after the date above mentioned, become a county road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the County of Waipawa, in the Provincial District of Hawke's Bay, being the road leading from Te Whitia Native Reserve to the Napier-Woodville Railway-line, near Kopua Railway-station, and which commences at the Napier-Woodville main road, and proceeds in a south-easterly direction through the said Te Whitia Native Reserve and the Otawhao No. 1 Block to the Napier-Woodville Railway-line aforesaid: as the said road is delineated on the plan marked S.G. 12802, deposited in the General Survey Office, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Notice of Intention to change the Purpose of a Portion of a Reserve.
ONSLOW, Governor.
WHEREAS by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," it is, amongst other things, enacted that the Governor may declare his intention to make, change, exchange, or alter the dedication of any public reserve now or hereafter vested in Her Majesty or the Governor for any of the purposes named in Class II. of the Schedule to the said Act, whether the same be granted or not; and, in the case of any reserves made under the authority of section two hundred and twenty-seven of "The Land Act, 1885," if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to change the purpose of such reserves or any part thereof from the purpose or presumed purpose for which it was set apart to any other purpose, or if it shall, in the opinion of the Governor, be expedient to exchange any of the land comprised in such reserve for other land of equal value, to be dedicated to one or more purposes named in the said Class II., the Governor may, by notice in the Gazette, declare his intention to make such change, exchange, or dedication, as the case may be, and in such notice declare the manner and terms in which the same is intended to be so made:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby, in exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me by "The Public Reserves Act, 1881," aforesaid, declare my intention to change the specific purpose of a portion of the reserve described in the first column of the Schedule hereto, the area of which is described in the second column of the said Schedule, to the specific purpose set opposite such description in the third column of the said Schedule.

Rural Land in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.
ONSLOW, Governor.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

UNSURVEYED LAND.
Manukau County.
ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in the Parish of Otan, and containing approximately 5,300 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north generally by Section No. 67 of the Parish of Otan, and by a right line from its eastern angle to the north-western angle of Section No. 54 of the same parish; towards the east generally by Sections Nos. 54, 55, and 58 of the said parish, by the Maungatawhiri River, by Section No. 59 of the said parish, and again by the Maungatawhiri River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section No. 64 of the Parish of Otan aforesaid; thence towards the south by a right line to the northernmost angle of Section No. 11 of the aforesaid parish; and towards the west generally by Sections Nos. 37, 10, 33, 9, 43, 14, 41, 40, 38, 8, 4, 17, 6, 15, 3, and 18 of the Parish of Otan aforesaid to the point of commencement.
Description of Land: Nearly all very broken forest land, with some fern-openings. Cash price, 7s. 6d. per acre.
