the Horse Range; thence by the summit of that range and the summit of the Kakanui Mountains through the Maru-whenua Pass to Kyeburn Hill; thence by the summit of the main range leading to Mount Ida, and thence by the summit of the Hawkdun Mountains to a point due east of Mount St. Bathan’s; thence by a line drawn due west to the said Mount St. Bathan’s; thence by the summit of the range through the Lindis Pass to Longslip Hill; thence by the summit of the range leading to the watershed between the Rivers Ahuriri and Hunter; and thence by that watershed and the watershed between the said River Hunter and the Hopkins River to the Hunter Saddle; and thence again towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described.

MOUNT IDA.

This district is bounded towards the north-east generally by the Waitaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Mount St. Bathans to the north-western corner of Section No. 4, Block IV., Hummockside Survey District; thence towards the south by Runs Nos. respectively 171A, 171B, and 218 to a right line drawn from Silver Peak to the Hummock (Trig. Station D); thence again towards the north-east by a right line to the said Silver Peak; thence by a right line to Trig. Station S (Swampy Hill); thence again towards the south by Blocks V., IV., and III. of Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 19, 18, 17, 15, 14, 2 of 13, 1 of 13, 11, 10, 9, and 8 of Block II. of the said Dunedin and East Taieri Survey District, and by the northern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced across the Taieri River: thence by the said Taieri River to the confluence of the Lee Stream with that river; thence by the said Lee Stream to its source; thence towards the south-west generally by the summit of the watershed between the Waipori River and Deep Stream, and by the summit of the Lammerlaw Range and the summit of the watershed to the Knobby Range, and thence by the summit of the said Knobby Range to a point due east of Rocky Mount; thence again towards the south by a right line to the said Rocky Mount; thence towards the west by the summit of the Garvie Mountains and the summit of the Carrick Range to Run No. 330A; thence towards the north by the said Run No. 330A and Run No. 325A to the Clutha River; thence again towards the west by the right bank of that river to a point due west of the confluence of Leaning Rock Creek with the said Clutha River; thence towards the north by a right line to the said confluence, and thence again towards the north-west by the said Leaning Rock Creek to its source; thence by a right line to Leaning Rock Hill; thence by the summit of the Dunstan Mountains to Run No. 238; thence by that run and by Runs Nos. 237E and 226B to Lauder Creek; thence by the said Lauder Creek to its source; thence by a right line to a peak (geodesical station) between the Dunstan Pass and Dunstan Peak; and thence by a right line to Mount St. Bathans.

PORT CHALMERS.

This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by the Waitaki Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the north-western corner of Section No. 4, Block IV., Hummockside Survey District, to the mouth of Pleasant River; thence towards the south-east generally by the ocean and the Otago Harbour to the south-western corner of Section No. 51, Block IX., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence towards the north-east by that section to its southern corner; thence again towards the north-west by a right line to Trig. Station E, in the said Block IX.; thence by a right line to the easternmost corner of Section No. 37 of the said Block IX.; thence towards the south-west generally by the said Section No. 37 and Sections Nos. 36 and 33 to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 82 of the North-east Valley Survey District; thence by a right line intersecting the said Section No. 33 to the south-eastern corner of the said Section No. 82; thence by that section to the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 83 of the said North-east Valley Survey District; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 82 produced across that road to the said Section No. 83, and thence by that section to the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of Section No. 43, Block VII., North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Section No. 83 produced across that road; thence by the said Section No. 43 to its northernmost corner; thence towards the west by Sections Nos. 48 and 60, Block VIII., of the said North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and by Sections Nos. 8, 23, 22, 3, 4, 5, 15, 2, 1, 6, 13 (E.R.), 14, 12, and 9, all of Block XII. of the said North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence towards the south by the said Section No. 9 and Sections Nos. 10, 11, and 16 of the said Block XII. to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by the northern boundary-line of the said Section No. 16 produced across a road to Section No. 7, Block III. of the said North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District; thence again towards the west by the said Section No. 7 and Sections Nos. 6 and 3 of the said Block III. to the Waitate; thence towards the south-east by that stream to its source east of Trig. Station S (Swampy Hill), and thence by a right line to the said Trig. Station S; and thence again towards the south-west and north by the Mount Ida Electoral District, hereinbefore described: including the islands in Otago Harbour and in Blueskin Bay.

PENINSULA.

This district is bounded towards the north-west generally by Otago Harbour; towards the east and south generally by the ocean to the road which forms the eastern boundary of the Township of St. Clair (Forbury Road); thence towards the south-west by that road to original Section No. 13, Block VI., Town Survey District; thence towards the north-west by the said Section No. 13 to Surrey Road, in the Township of South Dunedin; thence by the crossing of the said Surrey Road to Cargill Road, and thence by the said Cargill Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of original Section No. 18, Block VII., Town Survey District; thence again towards the south-west generally by a right line to the south-eastern corner of the said Section No. 18, and thence by that section to the road which forms its northern boundary; thence by that road to the Main South Road; thence again towards the north-west generally by that road to the boundary-line of the Town Belt of the City of Dunedin; thence by the said Town Belt and the Southern Recreation-grounds of said City of Dunedin, and by a line being the said boundary-line of the Town Belt produced across the Anderson’s Bay Road to the north-eastern corner of the Borough of Caversham; thence towards the north-east by the north-eastern boundary-line of the said Borough of Caversham to the Borough of South Dunedin; and thence again towards the north-west and north-east by the north-western and north-eastern boundary-lines of the said Borough of South Dunedin to the said Otago Harbour.

CITY OF DUNEDIN.

This district is bounded towards the north-west, towards the north-east, and towards the south-east respectively by the north-western, the north-eastern, and the south-eastern boundary-lines of the City of Dunedin, as specified in the New Zealand Gazette, No. 101, 20th December, 1877, from the easternmost corner of original Section No. 6, Block I., Upper Kaikorai Survey District, to the Borough of Caversham; thence again towards the south-east generally by the Peninsula Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 5, Block VI., Town Survey District; thence towards the south-west by that section; thence again towards the south-east and south-west by the said Section No. 5 and Sections Nos. 6 and 7, by the crossing of a road, and Sections Nos. 8, 9, 10, 11, 18, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, and 30 of the said Block VI., to the road which forms the western boundary of Section No. 59 of the said Block VI. (Elgin Road); thence towards the west by that road to a point in line with the northern boundary-line of original Section No. 53 of the said Block VI.; thence again towards the south-west by a right line across the said road to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence by that section to the northern side of a district road known as Hawthorn Road; thence by the northern side of that road to Section No. 21, Lower Kaikorai Survey District; thence again towards the north-west by the said Section No. 21, and Sections Nos. 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, and 2 of the said Lower Kaikorai Survey District to the Kaikorai Valley Road; thence by the said Kaikorai Valley Road to its junction with the main road leading from Dunedin to North Taieri; thence again towards the south-west by the last-mentioned road to the Waikari Road; thence again towards the north-west by the said Waikari Road to Section No. 103, Waikari Survey District; thence again towards the north-east by that section to its southernmost corner; thence again towards the north-west by said Section No. 103, and Sections Nos. 102, 101, and 100 of the said Waikari Survey District, to the road which forms the south-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 17, 16, 15, 14, 13, 12, 11, 10, and 9 of Block II., Upper Kaikorai Survey District; thence again towards the north-east by that road to the road which forms the north-western boundaries of Sections Nos. 8 and 7 of Block I., Upper Kaikorai Survey District; thence again towards the south-east by the last-mentioned road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Section No. 6 of the said Block I.; thence again towards the north-east by a right line to the northernmost corner of the said Section No. 6; and thence by the north-eastern boundary-line of that section to the Town Belt of the City of Dunedin.

DUNEDIN SUBURBS.

This district is bounded towards the north-west and south-east generally by the Port Chalmers Electoral Districts
