hereinbefore described, from the Southern Alps to the ocean ; towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of the Rangitata River ; thence towards the south-west by the said Rangitata River to the confluence of Forest Creek with that river ; thence again towards the south-east by the said Forest Creek to Run No. 77 ; thence towards the west generally by that run to The Thumbs ; thence by the summit of the watershed over Alma Peak to the Southern Alps ; and thence towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described.
GERALDINE.
This district is bounded towards the north-west and north-east by the Ashburton Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from Run No. 77 to the ocean ; thence towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of the Opihi River ; thence towards the south by the right bank of that river to the road which forms the eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 21601 (Stonyer's Road) ; thence towards the east by that road and its continuation to the Albury Railway-line ; thence by a line across that railway-line ; thence again towards the north-east by the said railway-line to a point opposite to the south-eastern corner of Section No. 14449 ; thence again towards the south-east generally by a right line to the said south-eastern corner ; thence by the road which forms the south-eastern boundary of the said Rural Section No. 14449, and the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 12740, 12622, 12585, 12529, 12725, 12817, 15049, 13975, 15926, and 18045 ; thence by the road which forms the southern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 18045 (aforesaid) and 15904, by the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 17311, 19165, 19454, 19427, 19222, 18561, and 23283, by the road which intersects Rural Section No. 18558, and by that road continued in a south-westerly direction through Rural Sections Nos. 18559, 19552, and 19553, and passing Rural Sections Nos. 25600, 21782, and 29557, and through Rural Sections Nos. 23303 and 18688 to the road known as Tycho Flat Road ; thence towards the east by the said Tycho Flat Road to its junction with the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872 ; thence again towards the south-west generally by the last-mentioned road, and its continuation past Rural Sections Nos. 18873, 21787, 25588, 20970, and through Rural Section No. 3277, to Rural Section No. 20634 ; thence by the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of the said Rural Section No. 20634, and which forms also the north-eastern boundaries of Rural Sections Nos. 28826, 20635, 28824, and 20636, and by the road which forms the north-western boundary of the last-mentioned section ; thence by the south-western boundary-lines of Sections Nos. 25597 and 28825, the southern and western boundary-lines of Section No. 20259, the south-western boundary-lines of Rural Sections Nos. 28532 and 20257, and the south-eastern boundary-line of Rural Section No. 28533, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence by a right line to the north-eastern corner of Rural Section No. 28821 ; thence by that section and Rural Sections Nos. 30443, 28462, and 21213, to the road which forms the western boundary of the last-mentioned section ; thence by the road which intersects Rural Section No. 16285 to the western boundary-line of Rural Section No. 2440 ; thence by the western and northern boundary-lines of that section, and the north-western boundary-lines of Rural Sections Nos. 33833, 26284, and 21990, and the southern and western boundary-lines of Rural Section No. 5209, all of Pareora Survey District, to the Tengawai River ; thence by a right line across that river to the south-eastern corner of Rural Section No. 5394 ; thence by the said Tengawai River to the road which intersects Section No. 11607 ; thence by that road and the road which intersects Rural Sections Nos. 11606 and 11608, and by Rural Section No. 20518 to the Opihi River ; thence by the right bank of the said Opihi River to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary-line of Rural Section No. 30438 ; thence by a right line across the said Opihi River to the southernmost corner of the said Section No. 30438 ; thence towards the north-west by that section and Rural Sections Nos. 30437, 30454, 19949, 20209, and 25368 to the confluence of the south branch of the Opuha River with the north branch of the Opuha River ; thence again towards the south-west by the said south branch, and by the south-western boundary-line of Run No. 15, to Two-thumb Range ; thence again towards the north-west generally by that range and Run No. 77 to Forest Creek.
TIMARU.
This district is bounded towards the north-west and north by the Geraldine Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from the road which forms the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872 to the ocean ; towards the south-east by the ocean to a point due east of the mouth of the Otipua Creek ; thence towards the south by a right line to the mouth of that creek ; thence towards the south-west by the said Otipua Creek to the road which forms the north-western
boundary of Rural Section No. 1690 ; thence again towards the south generally by that road and its continuation through Rural Sections Nos. 2407 and 3753, and past Sections Nos. 8167, 8838, 9635, 9743, 10702, 12244, 12464, 15736, 15928, 14376, 15803, 14784, 15520, 15801, 15800, 15790, 15757, and 12711, to the road which forms the western boundary of Rural Section No. 16050 ; thence again towards the south-west generally by the last-mentioned road and its continuation in a generally northerly direction past Rural Sections Nos. 15800, 15652, 15661, 15656, 16087, 15860, 21989, 25492, 20764, 25882, and 25533 to the road at the north-eastern boundary of Rural Section No. 18872.
WAIMATE.
This district is bounded towards the north-west by the Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described ; towards the north-east generally by the Ashburton, the Geraldine, and the Timaru Electoral Districts respectively, hereinbefore described ; towards the east by the ocean to the mouth of the Waitaki River ; thence towards the south-west generally by the said Waitaki River to the confluence of the Ohau River with the said Waitaki River ; thence by the said Ohau River and by Ohau Lake to the mouth of the Hopkins River, and thence by the said Hopkins River to its source ; and thence by a line due north to the summit of the Southern Alps.
OAMARU.
This district is bounded towards the north-east by the Waimate Electoral District, hereinbefore described ; towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of the Kakanui River ; thence towards the south-west generally by the said Kakanui River to Section No. 24, Block VII., Oamaru Survey District ; thence towards the west generally by the said Section No. 24, and Sections Nos. 23, 21, 19, and 15 (Quarry Reserve), to the road which forms part of the eastern boundary of the last-mentioned section ; thence by that road and the road which forms the south-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 13 and 1 of the said Block VII., and by the road which forms part of the south-eastern boundary of Application No. 3317A, to the Waiareka Creek ; thence by the said Waiareka Creek to Section No. 45, Block IX., Awamoko Survey District ; thence by the road which forms the southern boundary of that section, and by the road which forms the western boundaries of Section No. 45 (aforesaid), a reserve, and Section No. 44, and which forms the western boundaries of Sections Nos. 43, 15, 14, 13, 12, 5, and 4, all of the said Block IX., to the road which intersects Section No. 21, Block V., of the said Awamoko Survey District ; thence by that road and its continuation through Section No. 22 of the said Block V. to the eastern boundary of the said Section No. 22 ; thence by Section No. 22 aforesaid and Sections Nos. 20, 12, 27, and 19 of the said Block V., and Sections Nos. 22, 14, 5, 9, and 12, all of Block II., of the said Awamoko Survey District, and by the eastern boundary-line of the last-mentioned section produced to the left bank of the Waitaki River.
WAITAKI.
This district is bounded towards the north-east and east generally by the Waimate and the Oamaru Electoral Districts respectively, hereinbefore described ; towards the south-east by the ocean to the mouth of Pleasant River ; thence towards the south-west by the said Pleasant River to the Main South Road ; thence again towards the east generally by the said Main South Road to Subdivision No. 28 of Section No. 16, Block VI., Hawksbury Survey District ; thence by the said Subdivision No. 28 and Subdivisions Nos. 27, 26, 25, 24, 23, 2A, and 1A of the said Section No. 16 to the Main South Road ; thence by that road to the Waikouaiti River ; thence towards the south generally by the said Waikouaiti River and its north branch to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary-line of Pre-emptive Right Section No. 1, Hummockside Survey District ; thence by a right line to the north-eastern boundary-line of that pre-emptive-right section ; and thence by that boundary-line and by Section No. 5, Block IV., Hummockside Survey District, and Sections Nos. 8 and 4 of the said Block IV. to the north-western corner of the last-mentioned section ; thence towards the north-west generally by Runs Nos. 171F, 171, 171C, and 121A to Little Hummock ; thence by a right line to the source of Back Creek, and thence towards the north by that creek to the said Waikouaiti River ; thence again towards the south-west generally by the said Waikouaiti River to Run No. 109B ; thence by that run and Run No. 109A to Deepdell Creek, at the north-western corner of Section No. 2, Block VI., Waihemo Survey District ; thence towards the north-west by the said Deepdell Creek to its confluence with the Shag River ; thence towards the north and north-east generally by the said Shag River to the confluence of the Happy Valley Creek with that river ; thence towards the west generally by the said Happy Valley Creek and Section No. 8, Block VIII., Waihemo Survey District, and by Run No. 255, to the summit of
