CITY OF CHRISTCHURCH.

This district is bounded towards the north-west, towards
the north-east, and towards the east by the Avon Electoral
District, hereinbefore described, from Boundary Road to the
River Avon at a point in line with the eastern side of the
East Town Belt of the City of Christchurch; thence again
towards the east by a right line across the said River Avon
to the eastern side of the said East Town Belt, and thence
by the eastern side aforesaid to the southern side of Ferry
Road; thence again towards the north-east by the said
Ferry Road to Wilson's Road; thence towards the south-
east by that road to the road running along the Heathcote
River, and known as Heathcote Terrace; thence by the said
Heathcote Terrace to Tennyson Street; thence towards the
south by the said Tennyson Street to Colombo Road; thence
towards the west by the said Colombo Road to Strickland
Street; thence towards the south-west by the said Strickland
Street and its north-eastern side produced across the River
Heathcote; thence by that river to Douglas Jerrold Street,
and thence by the last-mentioned street to the Lower
Lincoln Road; thence again towards the north-west by that
road to Antigua Street, in the City of Christchurch; thence
towards the west by the western side of the said Antigua
Street to the said River Avon; thence again towards the
west and south by that river to Boundary Road; and thence
again towards the south-west by the said Boundary Road.

HEATHCOTE.

This district is bounded towards the north and north-east
by the Avon Electoral District, hereinbefore described, from
a point on the left bank of the River Avon, in line with the
eastern side of the East Town Belt of the City of Christ-
church, to the estuary of the Heathcote and the Avon Rivers;
thence by the said estuary and Pegasus Bay to Godley
Head; thence towards the south by Lyttelton Harbour to
the spur of the range running down from the Port Hills to
the said Lyttelton Harbour immediately on the east side of
Gollan's Bay; thence towards the west by the said spur
(which forms the eastern boundary of the Borough of Lyttel-
ton) to the summit of the said Port Hills; thence towards
the south generally by the said Port Hills, over Mount
Pleasant and Trig. Station EE, to the Raupaki Native
Reserve (the said southern boundary being the northern
boundary of the Borough of Lyttelton); thence towards the
south-east by the summit of the said Port Hills to the
western side of Dyer's Pass Road; thence towards the west
by the western side of the said Dyer's Pass Road to Colombo
Road, and thence by the western side of the latter road
to Tennyson Street; thence again towards the north and
towards the north-west generally by the City of Christchurch
Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the place of
commencement.

HALSWELL.

This district is bounded towards the north and north-east
generally by the Avon Electoral District, hereinbefore
described, from West Boundary Road to Boundary Road
at St. Albans; thence towards the east generally by
the City of Christchurch Electoral District, herein-
before described, and the Heathcote Electoral District,
hereinbefore described, to the summit of the Port Hills;
thence by the summit of the said Port Hills to the south-
eastern corner of Rural Section No. 1060; thence by the
summit of the said Port Hills to the south-eastern corner
of Rural Section No. 1093; thence by the eastern boundary-
line of Rural Section No. 1863 and the south-eastern and
southern boundary-lines of Rural Section No. 1901 to the
Ahuriri Bush Road South; thence by the said road to its
junction with the road which forms the north-eastern
boundary of Rural Section No. 1069; thence by a right line
to the easternmost corner of the said Rural Section No.
1069; thence by the south-eastern boundary-line of that sec-
tion to the River Halswell; thence towards the south-west
by the said River Halswell to the Ellesmere Junction Road;
thence by that road to the Lincoln and Prebbleton Road;
thence by the latter road to the Lincoln and Coal Tramway
Road; thence by the last-mentioned road to the Weedon
and Springs Road, and thence by the said Weedon and
Springs Road to the road to Selwyn; thence towards the
north-west by the said road to Selwyn, and by Shand's Road
to Hampton's Road; thence again towards the south-west
by that road to the Main South Road; thence towards the
south-east by the said Main South Road to Curragh's Road
at the south-western boundary of Reserve 871, Block XVI.,
Rolleston Survey District; thence again towards the south-
west by the last-mentioned road to Newton's and Coal Tram-
way Road; thence again towards the north-west by that
road to Dawson's and Waimakariri Road; thence again
towards the south-west by Dawson's and Waimakariri Road
to West Boundary Road; and thence again towards the north-
west by the said West Boundary Road to the Waimakariri
River.

AKAROA.

This district is bounded towards the north-east, the east,
and the south by the ocean, from Godley Head to Taumutu,
at the entrance to Lake Ellesmere; thence towards the
north-west by a right line to the outflow of the River Hals-
well in Lake Ellesmere; thence towards the west generally
by the said River Halswell to the south-eastern boundary-line
of Rural Section No. 1069, and thence again towards the
north-west by the Halswell Electoral District, hereinbefore
described; and thence towards the north by the Heathcote
Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to the said Godley
Head.

SELWYN.

This district is bounded towards the north-east and east
generally by the Ashley Electoral District, hereinbefore
described; towards the north by the Kaiapoi Electoral
District, hereinbefore described; again towards the east and
the north-east generally by the Avon Electoral District,
hereinbefore described, and the Halswell Electoral District,
hereinbefore described; and again towards the east by the
Akaroa Electoral District, hereinbefore described, to Lake
Ellesmere; thence towards the south-west by the said Lake
Ellesmere and the River Selwyn to the south-western
boundary-line of Section No. 22385, Block II., Selwyn Survey
District; thence again towards the south-east by a right
line across the said River Selwyn to the easternmost corner
of Section No. 10646 of the said Block II.; thence by the
southern boundary-line of the said Section No. 10646 to
Section No. 4084 of the said Block II.; thence by the eastern
boundary-line of the said Section No. 4084 to the south-
eastern corner of that section; thence by a right line to a
point on the southern side of Dunsandel Road in line with
the western side of the road which forms the western
boundary of Section No. 29306 of the said Selwyn Survey
District; thence by the road leading to the last-mentioned
road, and thence by that road and its continuation to Shar-
land's Road; thence towards the south by the said Shar-
land's Road to the road which forms the eastern boundary
of Section No. 30752, Block VII., Hall Survey District;
thence again towards the east generally by the last-mentioned
road, and by the road which forms the eastern boundaries of
Sections Nos. 28944 and 30070 of the said Block VII., and
which forms also the eastern boundary of Reserve No. 2458,
to the Rakaia Terrace Road; thence by the said Rakaia
Terrace Road to Section No. 31064, Block IX., Selwyn
Survey District; thence by that section and Sections Nos.
31066, 21189, 14728, 26946, 14727, and 33572 to the
Rakaia River; thence again towards the south-west by that
river to its source near Whitcombe's Pass; thence again
towards the south by a line due west to the summit of the
Southern Alps; and thence towards the north-west by the
Westland Electoral District, hereinbefore described.

ELLESMERE.

This district is bounded towards the north-east gene-
rally by the Selwyn Electoral District, hereinbefore de-
scribed; towards the south-east by the Akaroa Electoral
District, hereinbefore described, and by the ocean; towards
the south-west generally by the road which forms the
north-eastern boundary of Section No. 27206, Block
VIII., Wakanui Survey District, and by that road conti-
nued through Reserve No. 1999; thence by the road which
forms the north-eastern boundaries of Sections Nos. 25267,
25223, 25169, 25159, and 26624, 26754, 27069, 26729, 26921,
and 26726, to the road which forms the north-western
boundary of Section No. 26716; thence by that road, and
the road which forms the eastern boundaries of Sections
Nos. 26735, 27147, and 26734, to the road which forms the
north-western boundary of the said Section No. 26734;
thence by the said Section No. 26734 and Sections Nos.
27292 and 26673 to the northernmost corner of the last-
mentioned section; thence by the north-eastern boundary-
line of the said Section No. 26673 produced across Reserves
Nos. 1774 and 1770 to Section No. 27353; thence by the
said Section No. 27353 to its northernmost corner; thence
by a right line to the westernmost corner of Section
No. 6502; thence by the road which forms the southern
boundary of Section No. 27031 and by the road which forms
the southern boundaries of Section Nos. 27388 and 27494 of
Reserves Nos. 2186 and 2187, and of Sections Nos. 28221,
28220, and 27907, to Winchmore Road; thence by that road
to Reserve No. 1123 in Block III., Westerfield Survey Dis-
trict; thence by Section No. 34165 and its north-western
boundary-line produced to the north branch of the Ashburton
River; thence by the said north branch and by Boundary
Creek to the source of the said creek near Mount Taylor;
thence by a right line to the said Mount Taylor; and thence
by Runs Nos. 115 and 117 to the mouth of Lake Stream, in
the Rakaia River.

ASHBURTON.

This district is bounded towards the north-east by the
Selwyn and the Ellesmere Electoral Districts respectively,
