Powers delegated to the Ormond Domain Board under "The Public Domains Act, 1881."

ONSLOW, Governor.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, 1890.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN exercise and pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in him by "The Public Domains Act, 1881," His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council thereof, doth hereby revoke a certain Order in Council, dated the ninth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and eighty-six, making delegation of certain powers in manner as therein appears; and doth, with the like advice and consent, by this present order, delegate, but only with respect to the piece or parcel of land described in the Schedule hereto, all the powers conferred by the Act aforesaid, except the powers under or conferred by sections five and twelve thereof, to the Ormond Road Board, who shall be known as the Ormond Domain Board (herein referred to as "the Board"), subject to the stipulations hereinafter contained; that is to say,

  1. The Board shall meet for the transaction of business on the first Thursday in each month, at two o'clock p.m., at Ormond, or at such other time or place as may from time to time be fixed by the Board. The first meeting shall be held on Thursday, the thirteenth day of March, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

  2. Special meetings may be convened by the Chairman or by any two members of the Board, provided that two days' notice of such meeting be given to each member, specifying the business to be transacted at such special meeting, and no other business than that so specified shall be transacted at such meeting.

  3. Any three of the said Board shall form a quorum. Any meeting may be adjourned from time to time.

  4. The members of the Board shall, at their first meeting, and thereafter at an annual meeting to be held on the second Thursday in January in every succeeding year thereafter, elect one of themselves to be Chairman, who may join in the discussion, and shall have an original as well as a casting vote. The Chairman shall hold office until the election of his successor.

  5. If at any meeting the Chairman is not present at the time appointed for holding the same, the members present shall choose some one of their number to be Chairman of such meeting.

  6. If, by resignation, death, or incapacity, or otherwise, the office of Chairman shall be or become vacant, the members may at any monthly or special meeting appoint a Chairman.

  7. All questions shall be determined by the majority of votes of the members of the Board present at a meeting.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawke's Bay, containing by admeasurement 20 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more or less, being Suburban Sections Nos. 11 and 12 of the Township of Ormond.

Also all that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawkes' Bay, containing by admeasurement 4 acres and 2 perches, more or less, being Town Section No. 68 of the Township of Ormond.

Also all that parcel of land in the Land District of Hawkes' Bay, containing by admeasurement 107 acres 1 rood 5 perches, more or less, being section marked "Bush Reserve" in Block I., Waimata Survey District.

Opotiki (Town) Public Domain Board subject to the Provisions of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887."

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this seventeenth day of February, 1890.

THE HONOURABLE THE PREMIER PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS the Opotiki (Town) Public Domain Board, being a leasing authority within the meaning of "The Public Bodies' Powers Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), has requested that these presents should issue, and it appears expedient to make the order herein-after contained:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that the Opotiki (Town) Public Domain Board shall, as from the date of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, be subject to the provisions of the said Act.

Fixing Sittings of the District Courts of Nelson and Westland.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority in this behalf enabling me, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do hereby fix and appoint that sittings of the District Courts of Nelson and Westland, for civil and criminal business, shall be held as follows, from and after the first day of May next, in lieu of those previously fixed and appointed:

Nelson District.

In the Courthouse, Nelson, on the 15th May, 26th June, 7th August, 25th September, 28th October, and 11th December, 1890.

Westland District.

In the Courthouse, Greymouth, on the 29th May, 10th July, 21st August, 2nd October, and 13th November, 1890.

In the Courthouse, Hokitika, on the 3rd June, 15th July, 26th August, 7th October, and 18th November, 1890.

In the Courthouse, Reefton, on the 9th June, 21st July, 1st September, 13th October, and 6th November, 1890.

In the Courthouse, Westport, on the 16th June, 28th July, 8th September, 20th October, and 1st December, 1890.

Provided that in case any of the days so fixed as aforesaid shall happen to be a holiday, then the Court appointed for that day shall be holden on the first day thereafter not being a holiday.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.

Rural Land in the Auckland Land District open for Sale or Selection.

ONSLOW, Governor.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the third section of "The Land Act Amendment Act, 1887" (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, having received the report of the Surveyor-General in this behalf, as in the said section is provided, do hereby declare that the rural land enumerated in the Schedule hereto shall be open for sale or selection, after the lapse of a period of not less than forty-five days from the date of the first public notification hereof, in the manner and upon the conditions mentioned in the said Act, and at the price per acre stated in the said Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.-UNSURVEYED LAND.-WHANGAREI COUNTY.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, situate in the Parish of Waipu, and containing approximately 512 acres, more or less. Bounded towards the north-east by Sections Nos. 93, 125, 124, and 123 of the Parish of Ruakaka; towards the south-east by Sections Nos. 220 and 194 of the Parish of Mangapai; towards the south-west by a public road; and towards the north-west by Section No. 110 of the Parish of Ruarangi to the point of commencement: be all the aforesaid linkages more or less.

Cash price, 10s. per acre.

Description of Land: Undulating and broken forest land, soil fair; about five miles from Mangapai, with frontage to Mangapai-Waipu Caves Road.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor, this twenty-first day of February, one thousand eight hundred and ninety.
