THE NEW ZEALAND GAZETTE.

All that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres and 9 perches, more or
less, situated in the Purua Survey District, being a road,
100 links wide and upwards, traversing the Whatakai Block
(3582), the southern side of which commences at the south-
western corner of the east portion of the Whatakai Block
(3582), and continues easterly along the south-eastern boun-
dary-line of the said block for a distance of 2048.9 links to
the road (containing 1 acre 34 perches) hereinbefore described.
Also all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 2 acres and 24 perches, more
or less, situated in the Purua Survey District, being portion
of a road traversing the Whatakai Block (3582), the eastern
side of which commences at the termination of the eastern
side of the road (containing 1 acre and 34 perches), herein-
before described, which traverses the Whatakai No. 1 Block
(3582A), and continues northerly for a distance of 3082.9 links
to a point on the eastern boundary of the Whatakai Block
(3582) distant 1310.6 links from the northern boundary of
the last-mentioned block.
Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same
are delineated on Map No. 5115A, deposited in the Survey
Office, Auckland.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto
is required to be taken, under "The Public Works
Act, 1882," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit,
the construction of a road in Buller County:
And whereas the Buller County Council has laid before
the Governor the memorial, accompanied by a map, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the
amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the
Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by
"The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do
hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date
of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the
land mentioned in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for
the purposes of the construction of the said road.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in me
by the thirteenth section of "The Land Act, 1885," I
William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim that the portions of
Crown lands described in the Schedule hereto shall hence-
forth be used as a public road.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area, 3 chains in width throughout, being
Crown lands situated in the Survey Districts of Kairanga
and Gorge, in the County of Oroua, bounded towards the
north by Sections Nos. 1 and 9 of the Township of Mugby
Junction, by Baring Street and Sections Nos. 59, 58, 57, 56,
55, 54, 53, and 52, by Raymond Street and Sections Nos. 66
and 65, and by Redmayne Street, all of the said Township of
Mugby Junction, by Suburban Section No. 171 of the Town-
