Lands taken for a Road in Rodney County.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken, under "The Public Works Act,
1882," and its amendments, for a certain work, to wit, the construction of roads in Rodney County:
And whereas the Rodney County Council has laid before the Governor the memorial, accompanied by maps, and also
the statutory declaration, required by the said Act and the amendments thereof:
Now, therefore, I, William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, in exercise and
pursuance of the powers and authorities in me vested by "The Public Works Act, 1882," and of every other power
and authority in anywise enabling me in that behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that, from and after the date
of the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, the lands mentioned in the Schedule hereto are hereby taken for
the purposes of the construction of the said roads.

All in the Provincial District of Auckland; as the said parcels of land are more particularly delineated on the plans
marked as above, deposited in the General Survey Office, at Wellington, in the Provincial District of Wellington.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Right Honourable William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, of Onslow
in the County of Salop; Viscount Cranley, of Cranley in the County of Surrey; Baron Onslow, of Onslow
in the County of Salop, and of West Clandon in the County of Surrey; Baron Cranley, of Imbercourt;
Baronet; Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George;
Governor and Commander-in-Chief in and over Her Majesty's Colony of New Zealand and its Depen-
dencies, and Vice-Admiral of the same; and issued under the Seal of the said Colony, at Dunedin,
this twenty-seventh day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighty-
nine.

Proclaiming the Taking and Laying-off of a Road over
Land in the Auckland Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and in exercise of all powers and authorities
enabling me in this behalf, I, William Hillier, Earl of
Onslow, the Governor of the Colony of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim that the road described in the Schedule
hereto has been duly taken and laid off through the land
specified, under warrant of the date given in the said
Schedule.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 1 acre and 34 perches, more or
less, situated in the Purua Survey District, being a road,
100 links wide, traversing the Whatakai No. 1 Block (3582A),
the eastern side of which commences at the south-eastern
corner of the Whatakai Block (3582), and continues north-

easterly and north-westerly for a distance of 1420-7 links to a
point on the eastern boundary of the Whatakai Block (3582)
aforesaid 1193-5 links north of its south-eastern corner.

Also all that parcel of land in the Auckland Land District,
containing by admeasurement 3 acres and 1 rood, more or
less, situated in the Purua Survey District, being portion of
a road traversing the Whatakai No. 1 Block (3582A), the
centre line of which commences at a point on the southern
side of the road which forms the northern boundary of the
said Whatakai No. 1 Block (3582A) at a distance of 1865-3
links from its north-western corner, and continues south-
westerly generally for a distance of 2255-6 links to the
western boundary of the Whatakai No. 1 Block (3582A) afore-
said; and from thence the western boundary-line of the said
parcel of land continues southerly along the boundary-line
of the said block for a distance of 2168-5 links.

Be all the aforesaid linkages more or less; as the same are
delineated on Map No. 5115A, deposited in the Survey Office,
Auckland.

Date of Governor's warrant, 11th May, 1881.
