"Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877."--Lands reserved for Railways and Stations.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighteenth day of November, 1889.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE E. MITCHELSON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS by the twentieth section of "The Westland and Nelson Coalfields Administration Act, 1877," it is enacted
that the Governor may, by Order in Council, from time to time reserve such portions of the lands described in the
First, Second, Third, and Fourth Schedules to the said Act which, in his opinion, are required for the purposes in the said
section mentioned:

And whereas the lands described in the Schedule hereto form part of the lands described in the Third Schedule to the
said Act, and such lands are subject to be dealt with under the provisions of section twenty of the said Act, and in the
opinion of the Governor it is expedient to reserve the same for the purposes therein and hereinafter set forth:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor, in exercise and pursuance of the above-recited power, and by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of New Zealand, doth hereby set apart and reserve the lands described
in the first division of the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that the purpose of the said reserve shall be that
specified in the second division of the said Schedule.

For the use of Edward Percy Simpson, of the City of Sydney, in the Colony of New South Wales, Solicitor, and his assigns, for his or their railway, bridges, inclines, and staiths. The reserve hereby made shall continue only and be concurrent with the said Edward Percy Simpson's coal-mining lease from the Queen, dated the 28th day of March, 1889, for sixty-three years from the 1st day of January, 1889: Provided, however, that the right is hereby reserved to the Government to construct a road, if necessary, upon any part of the area mentioned in the first division hereto that may not be actually occupied by the said railway, bridges, inclines, and staiths; and provided also that the Government may permit the County Council or the Road Board to construct a road over the said land upon the like conditions.

P.W.D. 16377, deposited in the office of the Minister for
Public Works, at Wellington, in the Provincial District

Removal of Restrictions on Alienation of Native Land.

ONSLOW, Governor.
ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings, at Wellington, this eighteenth
day of November, 1889.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE E. MITCHELSON PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

WHEREAS application has been made to the Governor
in Council by Agnes Simeon, by devise in will of
Teira te Watakore, the Native owner of the land described
in the second column of the Schedule hereto, praying that
the restrictions on the alienation of such lands contained in
the certificate of title, bearing date the tenth day of May,
one thousand eight hundred and eighty-nine, described in
the first column of the said Schedule, may be removed:
And whereas it appears expedient to grant such application:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Right Honourable
William Hillier, Earl of Onslow, the Governor of the Colony
of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
conferred on him by "The Native Land Act, 1888," and
acting with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said colony, doth hereby order and declare that all
restrictions imposed by the said certificate of title on the
alienation of the said lands are hereby removed.
