1889," and of a parcel of land called Orimakatea, being

to certain Natives as a reward for military service :
And whereas such land has been granted (in error) to five
of such persons only under an award of the West Coast
Commissioners :
And whereas it is enacted by the above-recited Act that
the Crown grant so made in error shall be cancelled, and a
certificate of title issued in favour of all those Natives to
whom such promise was originally made, or the successors of
such of them as are dead, after due inquiry made by the
Native Land Court to ascertain the names of all those who
may be entitled to a share in the said land in pursuance of
such promise :
Now, notice is hereby given that a sitting of this Court
will be held at the Native Land Courthouse, at Whanganui,
on Wednesday, the 8th day of January, 1890, to inquire and
determine finally who were the Natives to whom the afore-
said promise was made, and who, as such, or as the succes-
sors of any that are dead, are now entitled to a share and
interest in the said land.
And the Court will thereupon proceed to make a final and
conclusive order therein, setting out the names of all such
Natives as it shall determine to be entitled as aforesaid, to
the intent that a certificate of title may be issued to them of
the said land called Orimakatea :
