ALL that area in the Provincial District of Wellington,
situate in the Port Nicholson Survey District, bounded
towards the north-east generally by Sections Nos. 103 and
129, Ohariu, and Sections Nos. 11 and 7, Kaiwara; towards
the south-east by Lots Nos. I., II., III., IV., V., VI., VII.,
and VIII., Kaiwara; again towards the north-east by the
last-mentioned lot to the Kaiwara Stream; thence again
towards the south-east generally by a line along the middle
of that stream to a point in line with the southern boundary
of Section No. 1, Kaiwara; thence towards the north by the
last-mentioned section; towards the north-west by Section
No. 1 aforesaid and Section No. 2, Kaiwara, to the northern-
most corner of the Tinakori North Native Block; thence
towards the east by the City of Wellington and the Borough
of Melrose respectively to the south-western corner of Section
No. 21 (Native reserve), Ohairo; thence towards the south
by Sections Nos. 38, 39, 43, and 44, Terawhiti; towards the
west generally by Section No. 68, Terawhiti, Sections Nos.
50, 49, 47, 46, and 55, Karori, and Section No. 46 aforesaid to
the road forming the north-eastern boundary of Subdivision
xx. of original Section No. 43, Karori; thence by that road
and its continuation to the westernmost corner of Section
No. 44, Karori; thence by a road running in an easterly
direction to a line 1250 links distant from and parallel to
the south-western boundary-line of original Section No. 41,
Karori; thence by the said parallel line to the north-
western boundary-line of the last-mentioned section; thence
by Sections Nos. 42, 43, 45, 23, 25, 27, 29, 30, 51, 34, 36, and
38, all of Makara, to the northernmost corner of the last
mentioned section; thence again towards the north and
again towards the west by Section No. 87, Ohariu; and
again towards the north by Section No. 104, Ohariu, to
Section No. 103, the place of commencement.
Proposed Constitution of the Borough of Onslow, County of
Hutt.

A PETITION having been presented to His Excellency
the Governor, that the district comprised in the Sche-
dule hereto might be constituted a borough, under "The
Municipal Corporations Act, 1866," to be called the Borough
of Onslow, His Excellency directs it to be notified that,
unless within two months from the date hereof a petition or
petitions, as provided by sections 24 or 34 of the said Act, is
or are presented to His Excellency, he will proceed to con-
stitute the said borough.

Road, from Section No. 17, Ohariu, to Section No. 16, Porirua;
thence by the latter section and Section No. 17, Porirua, to
Section No. 2, Horokiwi; thence towards the east by the
last-mentioned section and Section No. 1, Horokiwi; towards
the south-east by Harbour Sections Nos. 13 and 12; towards
the south by Section No. 9 (Native reserve), Porirua, to the
Porirua Road; thence towards the south-east by the eastern
side of the said Porirua Road to the Wellington and Mana-
watu Railway Company's land in Section No. 5, Porirua;
thence by the north-eastern and south-eastern boundary-
lines of the said company's land to Section No. 4, Porirua;
thence towards the north-east by Section No. 5, Porirua, to
Harbour Section No. 7; thence again towards the south-east
and north-east by the said Section No. 7, and the production
of the south-western boundary-line thereof to Wellington
Harbour; thence again towards the south-east by Welling-
ton Harbour to the City of Wellington; thence towards the
south-west and again towards the south-east by the said City
of Wellington to the northernmost coner of Tinakori North
Native Block; thence again towards the south-east by that
block; again towards the south by Sections Nos. 30 and 31,
Karori, to the Kaiwara Stream; thence towards the north-
west by a line along the middle of that stream to a point in
line with the south-western boundary-line of Lot VIII.,
Kaiwara; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner
of the said Lot VIII.; thence again towards the south-west
and north-west by Native reserve (366 acres) at Otari to
Section No. 11, Kaiwara; and thence towards the north-
west generally by the said Section No. 11 and Section No.
128, Ohariu, to the northernmost corner of Section No. 9,
Kaiwara; thence by a right line to the southernmost corner
of Section No. 90, Ohariu; thence by the said Section No.
90 to its north-eastern corner; thence by a right line to the
southernmost corner of Section No. 14, Ohariu; thence by
the said Section No. 14 and Sections Nos. 15 and 17, Ohariu,
to the Ohariu Road, the place of commencement.

RESULT of poll for loan of £300 on Ihuraua Valley road:—
Number of ratepayers on roll, 9; number of votes, 10.
Number of ratepayers voted for loan, 5; number of votes
given, 6.
As a majority of ratepayers voted for, and a majority of
votes were given, I hereby declare the loan carried.

Manchester, England, Cigarette and Tobacco Manufacturers,
to register, under "The Trade Marks Act, 1866," the trade
mark of which the following is a description :—
Description of Trade Mark.
The words "Muratti's au Bon Fumeur Turkish & Egyptian
Cigarettes," together with the representation of a wreath
within which are the words "B. Muratti & Co., Exporters of
real Turkish tobacco, and purveyors to several monopolies in
Europe. Estd. 1821. Constantinople;" and a monogram of
the letters B.M.C. Below the wreath are the words "Regis-
tered Trade Mark" and the words "Medal awarded by His
Majesty the Sultan," with the representation of a medal.

instead of Saturday.
